Originally conceived as a performance cross-training shoe in the 1990s, it languished in relative obscurity until the modern retro cycle resurrected it as a silhouette primed for contemporary reissues and collaborative reinvention. Its distinctive split-toe construction and voluminous midsole translate well to the kind of oversized, body-conscious aesthetic that SKIMS has come to champion - a natural alignment of form and brand philosophy. Design direction. While specific colorway details remain unconfirmed at this stage, the SKIMS x Nike partnership has historically favored a muted, neutral palette with an emphasis on premium material execution. The Fall 2026 Edit 01 is expected to follow suit, though full product specifications will likely surface closer to launch. Release timeline. Nike shares could tumble 37.5% to $23 or soar 103% to $75 amid turnaround struggles

Nike faces a lengthy turnaround as analysts debate its prospects over the next year. Of 41 analysts covering the stock, 32% rate it a buy, 61% a hold, and 7% a sell. Price targets range dramatically from $23 to $75, compared to the recent closing price of $36.80. The bearish case centres on continued weakness in Greater China, where fiscal 2026 revenue fell 11% to $5.8 billion, and struggles with the Converse brand, which saw sales drop 31% to $1.2 billion. The median analyst target of $46 suggests a 25% gain, contingent on improving Greater China sales and building on 6% wholesale revenue growth to $27.5 billion. Bulls point to Nike's neuroscience-backed Mind line as evidence of renewed innovation.

Who's hiring in sports tech: sep 8 - sep 15, 2026.

Who's hiring in sports tech: sep 8 - sep 15, 2026. September 15, 2026 Week at a glance. Legends Global Quick takeaways. * Legends Global leads with 139 open roles this week * Top 5 companies account for 348 of 1153 total postings * 15 companies actively hiring in sports tech Who's hiring in sports tech: september 8 - 15, 2026. This week's hiring roundup in sports tech is nothing short of explosive, with 1,153 job postings across the industry. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just breaking into the space, the opportunities are vast - and the signals about where the industry is headed are even more revealing. From global giants doubling down on fan engagement to nimble startups scaling their operations, the hiring frenzy is a clear indicator of where the next wave of innovation (and jobs) will emerge. Let's dive into who's hiring, what they're looking for, and what it means for your career. The heavy hitters: who's leading the charge. Legends Global is this week's undisputed leader, with a staggering 139 openings - nearly double the next closest company. Their roles span everything from operations technicians and concessions managers to high-level positions like Vice President of Marketing for Stadiums. What's behind the surge? Legends, known for managing premium experiences for venues like SoFi Stadium and Etihad Park, is clearly expanding its footprint in live events and venue operations. If you're passionate about the intersection of sports, hospitality, and fan experience, this is the company to watch. Their hiring spree suggests they're either taking on new clients, launching new services, or both - and they need talent to make it happen. Nike isn't far behind, with 88 openings that reflect its global reach and diverse business needs. Roles range from part-time retail advisors in Europe to prevention advisors (safety roles) and even an Assistant Head Coach for one of its high-performance teams. This mix of retail, safety, and elite sports hiring signals that Nike is not just selling products - it's investing in the entire ecosystem around them. For job seekers, this means opportunities aren't just in design or marketing; Nike is also building teams to support its direct-to-consumer strategy, workplace safety, and even its own athletic programs. If you're looking for a company where your role could evolve alongside a brand that's constantly redefining sports culture, Nike's openings are worth a close look. NBCUniversal is another standout, with 55 openings that highlight the growing demand for sports media and content. Roles like Producer for Telemundo's T20 cricket coverage and Senior Analyst for Content Forecasting reveal how traditional broadcasters are adapting to new sports and digital-first strategies. The inclusion of cricket (a sport gaining traction in the U.S.) and digital content roles suggests NBCUniversal is betting big on diversifying its sports portfolio. For job seekers in media, production, or data-driven storytelling, this is a sign that sports broadcasting is no longer just about the NFL or NBA - it's about finding and monetizing the next big thing. Emerging patterns: where the industry is heating up. This week's data reveals a few key trends worth noting. First, venue and live event technology is booming. Companies like Legends Global and Topgolf (with 21 openings in maintenance and operations) are hiring aggressively to support the infrastructure behind live sports and entertainment. This isn't just about filling seats - it's about creating seamless, tech-driven experiences for fans, from mobile ordering to AI-powered crowd management. If you have a background in operations, hospitality, or tech, this is a sector to explore. Second, direct-to-consumer (DTC) and retail roles are surging. Nike, Alo Yoga (30 openings), and On (21 openings) are all hiring for retail leadership, e-commerce, and customer experience positions. This aligns with the broader shift in sports tech toward brands owning their customer relationships rather than relying solely on third-party retailers. For job seekers, this means opportunities in digital marketing, supply chain, and in-store tech are growing - especially for those who can bridge the gap between online and offline experiences. Finally, startups and scale-ups are holding their own. While enterprise companies dominate the top of the list, Alpine Racing (27 openings) and Blink Health (23 openings) show that smaller players are still expanding. Alpine's roles in commercial strategy and project management suggest they're scaling their operations, while Blink Health's pharmacy and security openings hint at a push into health tech for athletes. For those who thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, these companies offer a chance to make an impact without the bureaucracy of a corporate giant. What this means for job seekers. If you're on the hunt for a role in sports tech, this week's hiring data offers a roadmap for where to focus your efforts. Here's how to make the most of it: * Target the right sectors: If you're in operations, hospitality, or tech, Legends Global and Topgolf are hiring for roles that blend sports with fan experience. For media professionals, NBCUniversal and Versant (36 openings) are expanding their content and production teams. And if you're passionate about retail or DTC, Nike, Alo Yoga, and On are building out their customer-facing teams. * Look beyond the usual suspects: While the big names are hiring, don't overlook startups like Alpine Racing or Blink Health. These companies often offer more flexibility, faster career growth, and the chance to shape a brand from the ground up. * Upskill for the future: The rise of roles in content forecasting, security, and commercial strategy signals that sports tech is becoming more data-driven and specialized. If you're not already developing skills in analytics, digital marketing, or project management, now's the time to start. One thing is clear: the sports tech industry is in growth mode, and the opportunities are as diverse as the field itself. Whether you're just starting out or looking to make your next career move, this is the moment to align your skills with the companies that are shaping the future of sports. Happy hunting! Action plan for job seekers.
