About the job

Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in implementation, onboarding, transitions, or client-facing operations; business-to-business financial services experience is strongly preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required.
  • Deep understanding of the independent wealth management industry, including how registered investment advisers operate, custodial transitions, and common transition challenges.
  • Demonstrated project management skills across multiple concurrent client implementations.
  • Credibility with firm principals and chief operating officers, not only their operations teams.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment when documented processes do not exist.
  • Strong organization and prioritization, with consistent execution through ambiguity and shifting timelines.
  • Written, verbal, presentation, and active listening skills, including concise and composed communication under pressure.
  • High emotional intelligence, ability to build trust quickly, and ability to create calm during a demanding transition.
  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, including identifying process gaps and automation opportunities and acting on them.
  • Proficiency with core customer success tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
  • Own client implementation delivery from post-sale through launch, migrating committed assets according to plan and accelerating time-to-value.
  • Develop and maintain detailed implementation plans, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations throughout each engagement.
  • Lead cross-functional implementation efforts across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance, driving accountability and removing obstacles.
  • Conduct structured discovery before kickoff, then tailor the plan and training to the firm's actual operations.
  • Own the firm relationship after handoff from Sales so the transition feels continuous rather than like a restart.
  • Orient firms early to Altruist's support and service processes so they know where to go before their first issue arises.
  • Run a weekly cadence reporting transition health, including risks, owners, and next steps.
  • Cover and document all seven core areas: advisor experience, client experience, account opening, funding, trading, fee billing, and reporting and integrations.
  • Train firms on their workflows rather than only on product features, and surface known friction before advisors encounter it.
  • Understand firms' underlying objectives beyond their explicit requests.
  • Remain transparent and solution-focused when issues do not have clean answers; work through them with the firm, defer issues that would derail a session, and retain ownership of open items.
  • Establish the steady-state relationship before handoff, documenting escalation paths and open items.
  • Bring implementation friction and product gaps to Product and Operations with actionable detail.
  • Feed implementation learnings into playbooks, templates, and training to improve future engagements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Business-to-business financial services experience is strongly preferred.

Key Takeaways: * Domain Money has adopted Hazel[1], Altruist's AI platform for financial advisors, across its team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(R) professionals * Hazel automates time-consuming administrative tasks so CFP(R) professionals can focus on what matters most: their clients * The adoption supports the client-first standards that have earned Domain Money a 90+ NPS rating and a 4.8 out of 5-star Trustpilot rating Domain Money today announced it has added Hazel, the artificial intelligence platform built by Altruist for financial advisors and wealth managers, to its technology stack across its team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(R) professionals. The integration is designed to reduce administrative burden and give CFP(R) professionals more time for high-value planning work, reinforcing the client-first standards that have helped Domain Money maintain a 90+ NPS rating and a 4.8-star Trustpilot rating among members. Domain Money limits the number of clients each CFP(R) professional works with, a standard designed to preserve the depth and personalization of its planning process as the company scales. By automating administrative work, Hazel is intended to help CFP(R) professionals use their time more effectively and continue to stay focused on their clients. "Our commitment to client-first standards only works if our advisors have the bandwidth to bring their full attention to every client. Hazel protects that bandwidth by automating administrative tasks, so our CFP(R) professionals can stay focused on building plans that can meaningfully change outcomes for members," said Adam Dell, CEO and Founder of Domain Money. "Every tool we adopt has to answer one question: does this help our CFP(R) professionals serve members better," said Adrianna Adams, CFP(R), Head of Financial Planning at Domain Money. "Hazel does that by enabling our advisors to continue to prioritize planning depth and put clients first." "We're excited about what Hazel can do for forward-thinking and growth-minded advisory firms, like Domain Money," said Ken Vincent, Head of Business at Hazel. "Hazel is built to support advisors by streamlining the work around the client relationship so they can focus on what matters most." Altruist launches donor-advised funds with no minimums and 50 basis point fees

Altruist has launched donor-advised funds (DAFs) on its wealth technology platform, allowing advisors to open and manage charitable giving accounts without separate systems or minimums. The platform enables advisors to set up DAFs in minutes and lets clients recommend grants directly from their accounts or mobile app, choosing from over 1.8 million eligible charities. Unlike traditional DAF platforms with fixed investment menus, Altruist allows assets to be invested in any marketplace model, including custom portfolios and personalised-indexing strategies. Altruist charges fees starting at 50 basis points annually, below the typical 60 to 65 basis points charged by other DAF sponsors. The platform imposes no account-opening, balance, or grant minimums. The DAF accounts are sponsored by Endaoment, a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Altruist adds donor-advised funds to platform.

Altruist adds donor-advised funds to platform. The custodian's new offering features no account minimums, lower fees than competitors and flexible investment options for advisors managing client philanthropy. Davis Janowski, Senior Technology Editor, Wealth Management October 5, 2026 Want a quick summary? Custodian Altruist has added donor-advised funds to its platform, allowing advisors to open, fund, invest and manage those charitable vehicles for clients in minutes without a separate system, the company said. Advisors can transfer an existing fund in two steps: contribute cash or appreciated securities and see the fund appear alongside other holdings in the household view, according to Altruist. "Giving is one of the most personal things a client does with their advisor. We want to support advisors and their clients through that process by making donor-advised funds easy to navigate and access," said Jason Wenk, founder and CEO of Altruist, in a prepared statement. According to Altruist, assets in the new donor-advised fund can be invested in any model in the marketplace, including custom portfolios and personalized indexing strategies, unlike most DAF platforms that restrict investment choices to a fixed menu. The platform has no account-opening, balance or grant minimums, and fees start at 50 basis points annually, below the 60 to 65 basis points typical among other donor-advised fund sponsors, according to Altruist. Clients can recommend grants directly from their Altruist account or mobile app, choosing from more than 1.8 million eligible charities without waiting for their advisor to initiate the transaction. Donor-advised fund accounts created on the Altruist platform will be sponsored by Endaoment, a 501(c)(3) public charity that is the legal owner of DAF assets and the customer of record on the account, according to Altruist. It has been a busy few months for the custody, clearing, and technology provider to RIAs. In late August, news came that the company had agreed to be acquired by Vanguard for $4.6 billion. Q&A: State Street goes live with custody offering.

Q&A: State Street goes live with custody offering. 3 hours ago Britton, D. (2026, September 17). Q&A: State Street goes live with custody offering. WealthManagement.com. https://www.wealthmanagement.com/ria-news/state-street-launches-new-ria-custody-business * State Street went live this week with State Street Wealth Services, a new RIA clearing and custody business that the firm is now actively marketing to wealth managers. * The firm intends to bring on its first anchor client, a top U.S.-based RIA, within the next couple of months, and has approximately 40 additional RIA firms in the pipeline. * The offering is built on the digital clearing and custody platform of Apex Fintech Solutions, in which State Street took a minority interest last October, with State Street acting as introducing broker and adding its own layer of data, services and AI capabilities around Apex's APIs. * State Street sold a majority stake in its Wealth Manager Services business to FNZ about five years ago and continues to hold a minority stake in that business. * The unit hired Jennifer Stokes, former head of clearing operations at Altruist, as head of wealth custody and clearing, and Pete Dorsey, previously of LPL Financial, Altruist and TD Ameritrade, as chief revenue officer for wealth custody and clearing. * John Plansky, executive vice president and head of State Street Wealth Services, said the offering targets RIAs with $1 billion or more in assets rather than smaller firms, and that State Street has decided not to operate as a wealth manager itself. * Plansky cited legacy custodian practices such as charging ETF providers for platform placement, an issue analysts raised in connection with Vanguard's decision to buy Altruist, as an opening for a new entrant.

Arca partners with Altruist as $1B AI wealth manager emerges from stealth with $64M

Arca, an AI-native wealth management firm that emerged from stealth in June 2026 with $64 million in funding, has partnered with Altruist as its preferred custodian and technology partner. Despite being recently launched, Arca already manages over $1 billion in client assets. The company has embedded Altruist's Realtime Custodial API into its proprietary platform. This integration enables Arca's AI agents to streamline operational workflows, allowing human advisors to focus on delivering personalised guidance to clients. Arca combines expert advisors with purpose-built AI to automate operational complexity in wealth management. The firm scales through acquisition and proprietary software rather than traditional growth methods. Arca is the first firm building on Altruist's real-time API, with additional tech-forward advisory firms expected to follow later this year.
