Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
About the job
- One or more years of manufacturing and/or machine operation experience is preferred.
- Ability to stop the production line or prevent shipment when products are nonconforming or potentially nonconforming.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a quality-focused, organized, and safe work area.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
- Ability to follow first-piece inspection and approval procedures before full production.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor, and other inspection tools.
- Ability and willingness to work in an environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
- Operate production equipment, including punch presses, press brakes, folding machines, turret presses, saw drill boxes, flat-bed lasers, Kuka lasers, tube benders, buffing lines, and computer numerical control mills.
- Feed necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Sand and deburr parts.
- Support the company's environmental policy through proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, waste reduction, and action on environmental performance results and findings.
- Tend to machines and products to ensure quality and proper operation.
- Complete daily machine check sheets and production records.
- Perform frequent quality checks to ensure quality parts are produced.
- One or more years of manufacturing and/or machine operation experience.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development credential.
