Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, evaluate, and manage insurance claims from initial notice through final resolution while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Review claims for accuracy, completeness, coverage eligibility, and policy compliance, and recommend approval, denial, or referral.
  • Analyze available information to determine liability, assess risk exposure, and support sound claim decisions.
  • Handle complex and high-value claims within established authority levels, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to team members on claim handling, policy interpretation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and enhanced customer outcomes.
  • Participate in quarterly leadership reviews to evaluate claims performance and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct monthly file audits and quality reviews, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, critical thinking, innovation, and accountability.
  • Monitor performance metrics and contribute to achieving departmental, corporate, and provincial regulatory goals.

Assurant Chile launches financial services protection addressing payments and fraud risks

Assurant has launched a Financial Services Ecosystem Protection business line in Chile, expanding beyond its existing device, home, and automobile protection services. Assurant's revenue has grown at a 6.6% compounded annual growth rate over the past five years. The company, which provides specialised insurance products protecting consumer purchases like mobile devices, vehicles, and homes, has a market capitalisation of $13.99 billion.

Assurant and Cogeco partner to offer mobile device protection and trade-in solution in Canada

Assurant has partnered with Cogeco Communications to launch a digital-first mobile device solution for Canadian customers. Owen taps Assurant to power embedded travel insurance for Swan's business cards across Europe

Owen, an insurtech specialising in embedded insurance, has partnered with Assurant to provide insurance capacity for Swan, Europe's leading embedded banking platform. Assurant Q1 earnings jump 76% on lower catastrophes and strong investment income

Assurant reported first-quarter 2026 net operating income of $5.95 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 10.2% and rising 76% year over year. Total revenues increased 11.4% to $3.4 billion, surpassing estimates by 4.4%. Results benefited from lower reportable catastrophes, solid performance in Global Lifestyle and Global Housing, and earnings growth across Connected Living and Global Automotive. Global Housing revenues rose 11.5% to $769.8 million, whilst adjusted EBITDA doubled to $236.7 million, primarily due to lower catastrophe losses. Global Lifestyle revenues increased 11.3% to $2.6 billion, with adjusted EBITDA up 20% to $236.7 million, driven by subscriber growth in mobile protection and improved automotive loss experience.
