About the Job

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to present confidently to larger internal and external groups while tailoring tone and content to the audience.
  • Consultative selling and strong discovery skills, including translating business objectives into ROI-justified use cases and demos tailored to discovery.
  • An analytical mindset, including the ability to calculate return on investment, interpret funnel and forecast signals, and apply core e-commerce and small-to-medium business metrics to build business cases.
  • Proactive multi-threading and executive engagement, including persona-specific messaging and sequencing to build consensus across stakeholders, economic buyers, and sponsors.
  • Strategic territory and account planning, including tiering, top-account prioritization, and competitive plays supported by account research and mapping.
  • Pipeline creation skills, including outbound generation, coverage management, timely lead follow-up, and orchestration of marketing and partner programs and events.
  • Negotiation skills, including fluency in pricing and packaging, disciplined use of commercial levers, and trade-based approaches that protect value while driving timely closes.
  • Collaborative selling skills, including coordinating business development representatives, solution architects, customer success, partnerships, marketing/account-based marketing, and leadership with clear roles and workback plans.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and Gong, including Salesforce hygiene and usage for forecasting and deal strategy.
  • At least 1 year of business development experience with strong performance and at least 1 year of account executive or closing experience in a sales role.
  • A bachelor's degree or above is a plus, rather than a required qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Run the full sales cycle, including discovery, return-on-investment-backed business cases, tailored demonstrations, and orchestrated evaluations through close, using a consultative approach rather than feature selling.
  • Build and manage a diverse pipeline with clear creation and coverage targets; execute personalized outreach and effective sequences; follow up on inbound and partner-sourced leads; and align product releases to prospect interest to progress deals.
  • Develop and maintain territory and account plans with tiering, prioritized top accounts, and documented account maps; maintain organizational charts and stakeholder alignment to accelerate access to economic buyers.
  • Proactively engage multiple stakeholders across marketing, finance, information technology, and executive functions; design and run workback and joint evaluation plans that involve decision makers at the appropriate times.
  • Quantify value by running return-on-investment analyses based on discovery insights and benchmarks; articulate the business case and tailor decks and case studies to each persona.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business development representatives, solution architects, customer success, partnerships, marketing/account-based marketing, and leadership using pre-call preparation, role clarity, and project-managed work plans to advance opportunities.
  • Maintain pipeline rigor and forecasting hygiene in Salesforce, including accurate stages, dates, next steps, reasons for and against deals, forecast categories, and timely deal updates that roll up predictably to leadership.
  • Negotiate strategically using business value, pricing and packaging fluency, and trade-based approaches; limit discounting to justified scenarios and time-bound non-standard offers with clear walk-away points.
  • Manage time across prospecting blocks, customer meetings, customer relationship management administration, and enablement; pursue continuous improvement through self-development and Gong usage to raise deal quality and consistency.
  • Represent and operate in alignment with company values, reinforcing trust and long-term partnerships with prospects and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience within software as a service or marketing technology.
