About the job
- A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or referral marketing.
- Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or home health professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management platforms.
- Sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding admissions and census targets.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical and operational teams.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Where applicable, the employee must meet state-specific requirements.
- Educate, inform, and inspire confidence in hospice services so that the right patients are referred at the right time.
- Identify new referral opportunities by calling on hospitals, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, clinics, and physician offices.
- Engage healthcare professionals in conversations about patient needs and how hospice care can support quality of life.
- Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to increase awareness and drive referral growth.
- Represent the organization at community events, professional associations, and educational in-services to promote hospice services.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and families, ensuring they understand hospice options and the benefits of early referrals.
- Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or home health.
