MANN+HUMMEL receives 2026 Nissan Supplier Gold Award for Leadership in Sustainability.

MANN+HUMMEL receives 2026 Nissan Supplier Gold Award for Leadership in Sustainability. September 23, 2026 - MANN+HUMMEL, a global leader in filtration, was honored with the Gold Award for "Leadership in Sustainability" at Nissan North America Inc.'s Supplier Appreciation Event. This marks the third time MANN+HUMMEL has been nominated for the award and the first time it has received the top gold-level recognition. Nissan Supplier Gold Award for Leadership in Sustainability Nissan North America 's Supplier Appreciation Event is a vital platform for recognizing its supply chain partners. The evaluation criteria cover multiple dimensions, including regional quality, after-sales service, supply chain, sustainability, and the "Monozukuri" spirit. Among these, The Gold Award for "Leadership in Sustainability" recognizes suppliers for their performance in areas such as carbon reduction, energy efficiency, renewable electricity, circular economy initiatives, environmentally conscious material solutions, lifecycle design, and collaborative emissions reduction. The evaluation is based on assessments conducted by EcoVadis[1], one of the world's leading providers of business sustainability ratings. Regarded as one of the highest levels of recognition by an automaker for a supplier's sustainability strategy and execution capabilities, the gold-level recognition signifies that a supplier has reached a leading level in this field. MANN+HUMMEL not only stood out in this evaluation but has also consecutively won the EcoVadis Gold Medal for five years running, further confirming the company's sustained leadership in the field of sustainability. Sustainability strategy: advancing climate action with a lifecycle mindset. At MANN+HUMMEL, sustainability is integrated into business operations, product development, and collaboration with customers and partners worldwide. The company's approach focuses on continuously improving resource efficiency, advancing technology innovation, and supporting customers in meeting their own environmental and business objectives. A key example is the use of bio-based lignin in the impregnation process of cellulose filter media. This renewable raw material partially replaces conventional phenolic components. Compared with conventional phenolic impregnation, the solution has been independently verified to reduce crude-oil consumption in the impregnation process by up to 27% and lower product carbon footprint by up to 5%, while maintaining the required technical and filtration performance.[2] This commitment to continuous improvement is also reflected in external assessments, as demonstrated by this latest award recognition. Solutions for passenger vehicle: enabling cleaner mobility with advanced filtration technologies. In the passenger vehicle segment, MANN+HUMMEL provides advanced and integrated filtration solutions for Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), hybrid, and pure electric vehicles (EV), covering scenarios such as cabin air, powertrain, chassis, etc. With these technologies, MANN+HUMMEL helps vehicles reduce carbon emissions, lower energy consumption, extend component life, and supports the transition to cleaner and more efficient mobility. Looking ahead, MANN+HUMMEL will continue to place filtration technology at its core, deeply internalizing sustainability into customer value and long-term competitiveness. Together with Nissan and many other partners, the company aims to jointly build a safer, greener, and more resilient sustainable transportation ecosystem. Contact.

MANN+HUMMEL presents its formula for success at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026.

MANN+HUMMEL presents its formula for success at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026. Efficiency, sustainability and reliability as key levers for optimizing total cost of ownership. Ludwigsburg, September 1, 2026. Reflecting its core promise, "Your Success is our Mission", MANN+HUMMEL will demonstrate at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 in Hanover how filtration solutions can deliver benefits throughout the entire lifecycle of vehicles and machinery. The focus will be on three closely connected factors: efficiency, sustainability and reliability. "For our customers, the purchase price of a component is only one part of the equation. What is decisive is how it impacts fuel consumption, maintenance, availability and service life throughout its entire operating life," says Hasmeet Kaur, President Transportation. "At IAA, we will use concrete calculations to demonstrate how filtration can influence the total cost of ownership of an individual vehicle as well as entire fleets." Efficiency: Lowering operating costs through intelligent engineering. MANN+HUMMEL combines lightweight design, optimized flow paths, intelligent system integration and demand-based thermal management. This enables filtration systems to operate more efficiently, reduces energy demand and lowers operating costs over the entire lifecycle. Using an oil filter module as an example, the technology leader demonstrates how detailed technical optimizations can deliver economic benefits over the entire operating life. An optimized valve design reduces component-related pressure loss by up to 40 percent. Depending on the application and operating profile, this results in calculated potential savings of up to 400 liters of fuel and up to 1.3 metric tons of CO[2] per vehicle over an assumed operating life of 25,000 hours. When applied across an entire fleet, these figures illustrate the econom. Sustainability: Reducing raw material use and the carbon footprint. Bio-based lignin makes a difference: It replaces some of the conventional phenolic components used to impregnate filter media. Compared with an exclusively conventional phenolic impregnation, this approach reduces crude oil use for the impregnation process by up to 27 percent and its carbon footprint by up to five percent.[1] The required filtration performance and technical material properties are maintained. Reliability: Keeping vehicles and machinery running. Durable solutions, comprehensive engineering expertise and a global development and production network enable reliable filtration that protects critical components. This helps minimize component wear, supports high system availability and enables predictable maintenance intervals. At IAA, MANN+HUMMEL will demonstrate how this expertise can be applied to other applications through a broad hydraulic filtration portfolio. The portfolio addresses applications including truck bodies and trailers, such as concrete mixers and tipper trucks. One example is the compact, modular in-tank return filter. It protects pumps, valves and cylinders from harmful particles, helping to reduce unplanned downtime and extend the service life of hydraulic systems. "Efficiency, reliability and sustainability go hand in hand," explains Harald Späth, President and General Manager Heavy Duty. "Our filtration solutions help optimize resources, lower operating costs and maximize uptime for our customers' vehicles and machinery. This is exactly what we mean by 'Your Success is our Mission.'" MANN+HUMMEL will present its solutions at IAA TRANSPORTATION in Hanover from September 15 to 20, 2026, in Hall 13, Booth C48. Are you attending IAA TRANSPORTATION as a media representative and interested in learning more about how filtration solutions can impact the total cost of ownership of vehicles and fleets? MANN+HUMMEL is offering opportunities for personal interviews at IAA with Hasmeet Kaur, President Transportation, and Harald Späth, President and General Manager Heavy Duty and Industrial. For interview requests, images and further information, please contact: [1] The calculation method and underlying data used to determine the carbon footprint were independently reviewed and validated by ClimatePartner.
