Responsibilities
  • Proactively prospect for new business through face-to-face meetings, cold calling, networking, referrals, email outreach, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and advancing opportunities with developers, property owners, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct in-person sales calls and site visits to uncover project timelines, decision criteria, and infrastructure needs.
  • Deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to each prospect's business and community needs.
  • Follow a disciplined sales process, including follow-up, objection handling, and closing techniques, to win new agreements.
  • Negotiate and close bulk exclusive marketing agreements, non-exclusive marketing agreements, and Access Only/right-of-entry agreements as necessary.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas for units, revenue, and contracts signed.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer relationship management records, forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
  • Develop strategic territory and account plans to maximize market penetration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for negotiated contracts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute upsell and expansion opportunities within existing communities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Develop and present plans and negotiate terms for partnering with communities.
  • Ensure agreements are executed in alignment with company objectives and profitability standards.
  • Ensure the company maximizes benefits within agreements and meets its obligations.
  • Complete and present financial analyses and business cases for each opportunity.
  • Track, monitor, and analyze service penetration levels with the MDU Sales Manager and local Account Manager.
  • Stay informed about local market conditions, competitor activity, and new development projects.
  • Attend builder meetings, municipal meetings, and industry events to uncover new opportunities.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, construction, installation, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate timelines with developers to ensure services are delivered as communities are completed.
  • Support and participate in community events, marketing activations, and launch initiatives.
  • Maintain organized accounts, contracts, and follow-ups.
  • Perform post-meeting follow-ups and next-step communications.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and activity metrics, including calls, meetings, proposals, and closes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental success.
Desired Qualifications
  • Telecommunications sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the development or construction industry is preferred.

Point Broadband and Clearwave Fiber have signed a definitive agreement to combine, creating one of the largest independent fibre operators in the US. The merged entity will serve over 500,000 customers across 12 states, with plans to expand to more than one million premises. Point Broadband, founded in 2017 and backed by GTCR and Berkshire Partners, operates a fibre network across 10 states, predominantly in the Southeast and Midwest. Clearwave Fiber, formed in 2022 through a joint venture among Cable One, GTCR, The Pritzker Organisation and Stephens Capital Partners, provides fibre internet services to residential and commercial customers. David Armistead, current Clearwave Fiber CEO, will lead the combined company, whilst John Cinelli, Metronet co-founder and Point Broadband board chairman, will serve as chairman.
