About the job
- Technical education in mechanics, mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing plant.
- Experience leading a team.
- Very good knowledge of industrial machinery mechanics.
- Ability to analyze faults and independently resolve breakdowns.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and with good organization.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with the team and other employees.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Germany on an equivalent-hours schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.
- Category B driver's license.
- Manage a team of industrial mechanics and assign tasks.
- Maintain the technical functioning of machinery and production lines, such as lines producing MDF, HDF, and particleboard.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
- Perform scheduled inspections, maintenance, and overhauls of machinery.
- Replace and refurbish components including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, and drives.
- Participate in commissioning and modernizing production lines.
- Work with the electrical department and automation technicians.
- Submit project and employee documentation on time and ensure its accuracy, including leave requests, employee award requests, and work-time records.
- Work with the Project Manager, purchasing department, and Human Resources.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures and the plant's technical standards.
