  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • One to three years of relevant experience in an Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, or client onboarding/due diligence role within the financial services industry.
  • Foundational knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Financing of Terrorism, and Know Your Customer principles and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify potential risks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct timely and accurate periodic reviews of client Know Your Customer documentation for a diverse portfolio of Asia-Pacific-based corporate and institutional clients.
  • Collect and verify client information and documentation using internal systems, public records such as company registries, and third-party databases such as World-Check and LexisNexis.
  • Analyze client profiles, transaction patterns, and ownership structures to assess potential risks and apply the appropriate risk rating in accordance with internal policies.
  • Ensure that all Know Your Customer records are complete, accurate, and maintained in the relevant systems, creating a clear and comprehensive audit trail.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers, Sales teams, and other internal stakeholders to obtain missing documentation and clarify client-profile information.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate potential red flags, suspicious activities, and high-risk issues to senior compliance management for further review.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer regulations in key Asia-Pacific jurisdictions, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and India.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience working with clients or regulations in multiple Asia-Pacific countries.
  • Anti-Money Laundering or Know Your Customer-related certifications, such as ACAMS.
  • Experience with Know Your Customer or Anti-Money Laundering software and systems.

Coinbase and Citi link bank rails to stablecoin payments for merchants

Coinbase Global and Citi have launched new features linking the bank's payment systems with Coinbase's stablecoin infrastructure. Citi's Virtual Account Wallet for Coinbase will automatically convert client fiat balances into stablecoins and convert incoming stablecoins back into fiat. Merchants using Citi's Spring platform can now accept stablecoin payments whilst keeping settlement within Citi's regulated banking system. Citi and Coinbase enable stablecoin-to-fiat conversion for merchants and businesses

Citi and Coinbase have expanded their partnership to bridge traditional banking and digital payments.
