Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program is required.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Office Assistant certification is required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic medical record systems, are required.
  • A valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and the ability to be insured are required.
Responsibilities
  • Support medical staff in delivering patient care services.
  • Assist with patient admissions and intake processes.
  • Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare patients for visits.
  • Collect and document medical histories and patient information.
  • Accurately record data in electronic medical record systems.
  • Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Collect and process specimens as needed.
  • Provide health education and guidance to patients and families.
  • Assist patients with forms, documentation, and care coordination.
  • Prepare communication and patient education materials.
  • Operate the mobile medical unit as needed.
