  • Knowledge of numerical methods, solver formulations, meshing techniques, solver accuracy, verification and validation, and engineering accuracy requirements.
  • Ability to work with customer-specific CAD geometry, material properties, boundary conditions, and load cases.
  • Knowledge of on-premises high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure, and graphics processing unit acceleration.
  • Ability to address solver fidelity, scalability, model complexity, numerical stability, and integration with CAD, product lifecycle management, and digital engineering ecosystems.
  • Ability to support technical responses to requests for information and requests for proposals, including simulation methodologies, verification and validation, physical-test correlation, benchmarking data, and system architecture designs.
Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with sales teams to drive technical strategy throughout the sales cycle and translate customer engineering challenges into simulation-driven solutions.
  • Engage with customers to understand product design and validation workflows and align simulation solutions to their development processes.
  • Own the technical sales lifecycle from requirements discovery through validation.
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations based on real-world engineering scenarios, including structural integrity validation, lightweighting, thermal management, and aerodynamic performance.
  • Develop and execute proof-of-concept studies using customer-specific models and engineering inputs to validate simulation accuracy and demonstrate measurable outcomes.
  • Architect end-to-end CAE solution workflows covering geometry preparation, meshing, solver setup, multiphysics coupling, optimization, and post-processing.
  • Provide technical leadership in deal strategy and position CAE solution differentiators.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer engineering teams and provide guidance on simulation best practices.
  • Lead technical objection handling related to solver fidelity, scalability, model complexity, numerical stability, and ecosystem integration.
  • Conduct competitive technical benchmarking of solver performance, accuracy, scalability, and workflow automation.
  • Collaborate with product management and research and development teams on industry-specific needs, advanced materials, space applications, and digital twin initiatives.
  • Enable internal sales teams and partners through training on simulation fundamentals, application workflows, and technical value messaging.
  • Develop reusable technical assets, including validated models, application notes, and industry-specific demonstration cases.
  • Support pre-sales deployment readiness by aligning proposed solutions with customer information technology, high-performance computing environments, and engineering workflows.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations and proof-of-concept studies, including mesh generation, solver convergence, nonlinear instabilities, and performance tuning.
  • Travel up to 30% to support customer engagements, technical workshops, and on-site evaluations.

Cadence (Nasdaq: CDNS) today announced that its PHY and controller IP for the PCI Express(R)(PCIe(R) 6.0 specification, implemented in the TSMC N3 process, achieved first-pass success at the recent PCI-SIG(R) compliance workshop held in late July. The workshop marked the industry's first official event for PCIe 6.0 specification compliance testing, with Cadence's x8 subsystem solution tested at the full PCIe 6.0 specification speed of 64 GT/s. The complete Cadence subsystem solution, comprising both PHY and controller, successfully passed all official PCIe 6.0 compliance specification tests and is on PCI-SIG's Integrators List. "PCI Express is a crucial scale-up interconnect for AI/HPC data centers and AI factories, and Cadence's subsystem for the PCIe 6.0 specification delivers best-in-class performance with among the lowest power in the industry," said Marc Loinaz, vice president of research and development for high-performance PHY, Silicon Solutions Group at Cadence. Cadence Tensilica IP powers Analog Devices' next-gen automotive audio DSP with 5X performance boost

Cadence has announced a collaboration with Analog Devices to develop the latest generation of SHARC automotive audio processors. The partnership integrates Cadence's Tensilica DSP architecture into ADI's ADSP product family, enabling enhanced audio experiences and AI capabilities for automotive platforms. ADI is introducing the ADSP-SC84x/2184x platform, featuring the new SHARC-FX processor core developed jointly with Cadence. Built on 16nm process technology, the platform delivers five times higher performance compared to the previous generation. The SHARC-FX core supports AI-driven audio processing, including noise cancellation and voice assistance. Cramer backs Cadence Design despite AI fears as chip software firm posts $1.58B revenue, 24% YoY growth

Cramer attributed the stock's struggles to market fears that AI tools from companies like Anthropic or OpenAI could replace Cadence's software.
