About the company

What Ripple does: Ripple provides enterprise blockchain-enabled financial services that speed up payments and improve cash management. How it works: its platform, built on blockchain and cryptocurrency, enables real-time settlement, liquidity management, working-capital access, and instant payments for financial institutions, enterprises, and governments, including the ability to source crypto assets and manage treasury via a single platform. How it differs: it focuses on scalable, secure CBDC implementations and government partnerships (e.g., Palau) to deliver central-bank-grade digital currencies, alongside proven faster remittances and lower costs from clients like Nium and Tranglo. Its goal: help clients move money faster, more transparently, and at lower cost, while expanding access to digital currencies and CBDCs.

Ripple CEO denies XRP pivot rumours as firm eyes $900M in annualised product revenue

Ripple chief executive officer Brad Garlinghouse says the company will never give up on XRP. Speaking at Swell 2026 in New York, he rejected rumours that Ripple now favours its RLUSD stablecoin. "We will never give up on XRP," he told the audience. He called RLUSD "one contributor" to XRP's momentum and said the two are "very complementary." Ripple says it is on track to exit 2026 with $900 million in annualised product revenue. RLUSD's market cap stands at $2.6 billion, up more than 88% this year. Ripple also won final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for Ripple National Trust Bank. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also appeared at the event.

BNY to custody XRP, but a 0.1% allocation of its $63T would equal $63B, with no commitment made

BNY will offer custody for XRP, the token of payments firm Ripple, as part of a deeper partnership. The deal also covers custody for Ripple's stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), and tokenized trade finance on the XRP Ledger, with C2FO bringing trade finance to the ledger. BNY holds none of the token itself and has disclosed no XRP revenue or custody balance. It reported $63.4 trillion in assets under custody and administration as of September 30, 2026. A 0.1% shift of that sum into XRP would be $63.4 billion, or 75.7% of XRP's $83.8 billion market value. BNY has made no such commitment. Invoices are more likely to settle in RLUSD than XRP. XRP traded at $1.32 on October 27, 2026.

XRP rises 2% to $1.31 as Ripple wins final US approval for national trust bank

Ripple said on October 26 that it has won final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to launch a national trust bank in the US. The company received conditional approval in December 2025. Ripple National Trust Bank can manage the segregated reserves behind its RLUSD stablecoin, act as collateral trustee for RLUSD holders, and provide digital asset custody to enterprises. Unlike a regular bank, it cannot take deposits or make loans. RLUSD has a market capitalisation of $2.5 billion, or 0.86% of the stablecoin market, according to DeFiLlama. XRP rose more than 2% in 24 hours to trade at $1.31.

Ripple launches 24/7 Returns for eligible corporate treasury clients.

Ripple launches 24/7 Returns for eligible corporate treasury clients. Summary: Ripple expanded Ripple Treasury at Swell 2026 on 2026-10-26. The platform links cash forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity decisions and payments across conventional and digital rails. A feature called 24/7 Returns for eligible corporate customers enables potential returns on assets held in Ripple wallets, including RLUSD, outside banking hours. The company did not commit to a universal guaranteed rate. Market impact depends on execution, integrations and risk governance. What the source actually says. Ripple introduced an orchestration layer that connects information and execution, supported by treasury-focused AI tools. The stated goal: reduce handoffs between reports, bank portals and payments systems by unifying workflows. The announcement adds 24/7 Returns for qualifying corporate users, indicating that eligible assets held in a Ripple wallet, including RLUSD, can earn returns when traditional bank-based cash products are unavailable. The language is conditional and does not promise a uniform rate for all wallet holders. The company positions this as corporate cash management infrastructure rather than speculative exposure. Treasury effectiveness requires timely obligations, accurate currency availability and reliable records. Automation depends on integrations and risk approvals. Cash visibility without dependable settlement creates operational gaps, and fast settlement without trustworthy books creates audit gaps. The 24/7 framing addresses a known mismatch: businesses and crypto markets operate beyond banking hours, while many cash-management products have cutoffs. Stablecoin rails can narrow that gap for approved users. A digital wallet balance is not equivalent to a protected bank deposit. Finance teams must assess counterparty risk, liquidity, redemption access and the mechanism that produces any return before allocating working capital. For investors, the announcement is a product milestone rather than an immediate price catalyst. Product enhancements can strengthen legal, operational and commercial positioning without determining short-term token prices. Valuation depends on customers, costs, execution and market conditions. The risk lies between a confirmed disclosure and a forecast. What matters for the market next. Ripple targets large enterprises with formal policies, authorization chains and audits. The company references customers and partners across airlines, retail and professional services, which does not confirm that every organization will adopt every new feature. Prudent rollout: narrow limits, segregation of duties, tested exception handling and explicit rules for when automated proposals trigger money movement. Key proof points: how smoothly the orchestration links approved decisions to executed payments, and how 24/7 Returns discloses risks, eligibility and the origin of returns. Announcing a connected dashboard is easier than reconciling failed payments or moving assets back to bank accounts. Treasury teams should require product-level evidence that always-on claims hold under real-world exceptions. Evaluation criteria for observers: identify which entity is responsible for each service, what rights a holder has to redeem or transfer assets, and whether claimed advantages appear in live activity. Tokens, shares and regulated service agreements create different rights even when combined in a single wallet or platform. Terms and operational performance are more informative than assumptions about inevitable adoption.

Ripple partners with Robinhood to expand RLUSD, whose market cap tops $2.5B

Ripple has struck a deal with Robinhood to expand use of its RLUSD digital dollar across institutional trading and financing, and to improve Robinhood's internal money management. Robinhood will use RLUSD to settle institutional trades and automate its treasury operations. It will also expand digital asset trading and financing through Ripple Prime and Bitstamp, the crypto exchange Robinhood acquired last year. RLUSD will be listed on Robinhood's trading platform. It is already available on Bitstamp and Robinhood Chain, the company's own blockchain for tokenised stocks and other assets. RLUSD's market cap has grown to more than $2.5 billion. The total stablecoin market exceeds $300 billion, and Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC still dominate it.
