Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience leading facilities management for hospitality-related properties.
  • Engineering experience is required.
  • Proven problem-solving and customer-service skills.
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to provide hands-on instruction on a wide variety of topics, equipment, and systems.
  • Ability to use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Experience managing a workforce focused on preventive maintenance of public areas, guest rooms, and the physical plant.
  • Experience organizing, implementing, and maintaining preventive-maintenance tracking and work-order systems.
  • Experience coordinating and managing hospitality capital-improvement projects, including public-area and guest-room renovations, FF&E repair and reupholstering, FF&E procurement, and site and building maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system problems.
  • Extensive working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, energy management, and preventive-maintenance programs.
  • Ability to hear emergency alarms and follow and direct appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Proven command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to work various shifts.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces, and reach continuously.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop, and lead the engineering team while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Optimize team deployment for operational efficiency and workload management.
  • Provide timely and meaningful performance feedback to support career growth and professional development.
  • Oversee maintenance and operation of the resort’s physical infrastructure and systems.
  • Assess the resort’s structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for performance and safety.
  • Control inventory of engineering parts, supplies, and tools.
  • Enforce organizational standards and procedures.
  • Resolve guest and team-member challenges with a focus on problem solving and guest service.
  • Respond to emergency situations while prioritizing guest and employee safety.
  • Direct departmental strategies through regular meetings and record-keeping.
  • Participate on the Executive Committee and contribute to the resort’s strategic direction and operational excellence.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute analysis and strategies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Certify the technical proficiency of engineering staff.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships from solicitation through administration.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts for consulting and contracting services.
  • Coordinate with governmental agencies to secure required permits and approvals.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget for payroll, expenses, and capital projects.
  • Keep the department within budget and provide financial analyses and strategic adjustments.
  • Establish inventory and purchasing systems.
  • Maintain the resort’s safety and maintenance standards.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to the property safety committee.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond or Four Star hotel or higher.

Outbound Park City set to open in early 2027.

Outbound Park City set to open in early 2027. Reading Time: 2 minutes US: Lifestyle brand Outbound Hotels will open its 180-room Park City property in early 2027, located in Utah. With views of the Wasatch Mountains, Outbound Park City will open for stays beginning 1 April 2027. Alongside its 180 rooms, amenities include two F&B venues - an all-day diner and cocktail bar - alongside two social areas. One serves as an indoor retreat with a pool, hot tub, cabanas and loungers, while an outdoor courtyard includes fire pits, outdoor games, and areas for live music. An additional 11,000 square feet of flexible meeting space is also available for events. "Park City is an exciting opportunity for us to bring the Outbound experience to one of the country's most iconic four-season mountain destinations," said Matthew Mering, co-founder of Outbound Hotels. "With reservations now open, we're one step closer to welcoming guests to a place where they can get outside, spend time together and enjoy everything Park City has to offer all year round." CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO.

CoralTree Hospitality appoints new CTO. CoralTree Hospitality has appointed Jeff Knowlton as chief technology officer to lead the company's enterprise technology strategy, digital innovation and systems optimization across its portfolio. Knowlton brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and technology leadership, digital transformation, guest-facing platform enhancement and operational system modernization to his new role. He will oversee CoralTree's technology roadmap, focusing on improving guest experience, operational efficiency and scalable infrastructure to support the company's expansion. "Jeff's deep expertise at the intersection of hospitality and technology makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team," said Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality. "As we continue to grow, his vision and leadership will be instrumental in delivering innovative, seamless, and data-driven guest experiences across our portfolio." Before joining CoralTree Hospitality, Knowlton most recently served as chief information officer at Peregrine Hospitality. Prior to that, he served in the same role at Sonesta Hotels International.
