About the Company

US Foods

Supplies food to restaurants, hospitals and hotels

US Foods distributes food, kitchen supplies and equipment to independent restaurants, restaurant chains, hospitals, hotels and schools across the United States, and it is one of the country's largest foodservice distributors. It buys from manufacturers and growers, stores products in regional warehouses and delivers them on its own trucks, earning a margin on each case it sells. Meat and seafood make up its largest product category, followed by dry groceries and refrigerated and frozen foods. Restaurant owners can order through its MOXē app, and the company sells its own exclusive brands next to national labels. Its roots go back to an 1853 grocery wholesaler, and it is based in Rosemont, Illinois.
