Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra could bring PC game emulation. 3 hours ago September 25, 2026 Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra could use Qualcomm's latest flagship silicon in at least some markets, and a new development around Snapdragon's GPU drivers could open the door to PC game emulation on Android. According to Geekerwan (via SamMobile), Qualcomm is developing official GPU driver support specifically for running translated PC games on Android. Qualcomm is reportedly exploring more direct DirectX 12 support for its Adreno GPUs. Geekerwan demonstrated Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth: Wukong running in DirectX 12 mode on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 reference device. However, no detailed frame-rate or power-consumption figures were provided, so the demonstration should not be treated as proof of console-like performance. Samsung is already validating 16GB LPDDR6 memory with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, while reports indicate this chip is being considered for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. That combination of flagship processing power and ample memory could make the S27 Ultra a capable platform for PC game emulation if Qualcomm delivers the promised driver improvements. Qualcomm has not announced a release schedule or supported smartphone list. Samsung has introduced a new fingerprint option for UPI payments in India. With this feature, users can confirm certain payments by simply touching the fingerprint sensor on their phone. The feature can be used for payments of up to ₹10,000. Samsung has increased this limit from the previous ₹5,000, giving users more freedom to make everyday payments without entering their UPI PIN. Normally, UPI payments require users to enter a PIN to complete a transaction. With Samsung Wallet's new option, eligible users can use their registered fingerprint instead. This can save time, mainly when making small payments. The feature can also be useful when paying in public places. Since users do not need to type their UPI PIN, there is less chance of someone nearby seeing the PIN. Samsung says the fingerprint option has been available for some time, but the company has now officially announced it for users in India. Samsung Wallet also offers several other features. Users can add credit and debit cards for NFC payments and keep digital items such as boarding passes, tickets, ID cards, digital keys, loyalty cards and membership cards in the wallet. It can also store passwords and passkeys. The new fingerprint feature adds another simple way to approve UPI payments. However, users need a compatible Galaxy phone to use it. The Meta CEO was seen using what appears to be a Galaxy S24 Ultra during a recent interview. As spotted during an interview with Joanna Stern, Zuckerberg appeared to have a Galaxy S24 Ultra in his hand. The observation was first highlighted by @theonecid, with the device identification also drawing attention on X. Executives frequently use multiple phones for testing, work, travel, or demonstrations, and the device visible during an interview may not be their primary handset. His reasoning also goes beyond personal preference. Android represents the largest smartphone platform globally, giving executives at Meta a direct way to experience the operating system used by a huge portion of its users. Is the Galaxy S24 Ultra actually Zuckerberg's everyday smartphone, or was it simply the device being used for the interview? There is no confirmation either way. Panel shipments to major customers remain solid, but stronger demand is no longer translating into the same level of profitability. Currency movements (Korean Won to US Dollar exchange rates), higher memory costs and heavy investment in new production capacity are squeezing margins just as the company expands beyond smartphones. Samsung Display could post around 1.1 trillion won as Q3 2026 profit, up sharply from the previous quarter but roughly 10% lower than the year-ago period. Its operating margin is projected at about 13%, compared with 15% a year earlier. Notably, Samsung Display is not facing a simple demand problem. Its mobile OLED business continues to benefit from flagship smartphone launches, while the company is simultaneously building a much larger position in tablets and laptops. Samsung's new 8.6-generation IT OLED line in Asan entered mass production this year. Apple is also expected to be an important customer as OLED expands into more Mac and iPad products. If OLED adoption across laptops, tablets and other IT products accelerates, today's investment costs could eventually support a broader and more diversified profit base. For now, strong OLED demand does not guarantee strong OLED margins.

In a regulatory filing, Vascon Engineers said it has received the Letter of Intent for the development of an office facility comprising three basements, Ground + 12 floors, and associated infrastructure at Bengaluru.
