About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in mechanics, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, aerospace-related fields, or a related major; graduation from a 985/211 university is preferred.
  • Basic-to-intermediate application proficiency with MSC Marc and familiarity with fundamental finite element theory.
  • Proficiency in common nonlinear simulation scenarios, including material nonlinearity (plasticity, hyperelasticity, and creep), geometric nonlinearity (large deformation and large rotation), contact nonlinearity (surface-to-surface contact, friction, and interference fit), thermal-structural coupling, stress-strain analysis, and structural deformation and failure analysis.
  • Ability to independently complete modeling, meshing, material definition, boundary conditions, solver setup, results post-processing, and report production.
  • Fluent spoken, written, reading, and listening proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customers’ structural simulation needs, break down requirements, analyze operating conditions, and match appropriate solutions.
  • Independently complete standard MSC Marc nonlinear simulation demonstrations, proof-of-concept tests, benchmarks, and feasibility validations.
  • Prepare technical proposals, simulation comparison reports, technical response documents, and technical materials for bids and tenders.
  • Participate in customer technical discussions, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution presentations.
  • Answer customers’ day-to-day software usage questions; provide modeling guidance; troubleshoot errors; and debug solver runs.
  • Support customers in implementing standard nonlinear projects involving large deformation, contact, plasticity, thermal-mechanical coupling, creep, residual stress, structural swelling, and assembly stress.
  • Deliver customer software training, hands-on guidance, case-based instruction, and technical enablement.
  • Track customer project progress, resolve application blockers, and ensure simulations are implemented and used successfully.
  • Build and accumulate industry-standard simulation cases covering battery structures, electrode expansion, nonlinear plastics, composite structures, packaging thermal stress, and vibration fatigue.
  • Document standardized operating procedures, frequently asked questions, and best-practice materials.
  • Support the team in product promotion and updating industry technical materials.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience simulating battery structures, composite structures, plastic products, or electronic packaging.
  • Familiarity with Digimat composite multiscale simulation and fiber-orientation mapping.
  • Ability to use any one of Nastran, Dytran, Patran, or Ansa.
  • Experience in industrial software technical support, application engineering, or simulation project implementation.
  • Graduation from a 985/211 university.

About the Company

Cadence Design Systems

Develops EDA software, IP, verification tools

Cadence Design Systems supplies software, hardware, and IP for electronic design automation (EDA) to help customers create advanced semiconductor chips and electronic systems. Its tools handle system design, verification, digital and analog IC design, and custom flows, while IP such as Tensilica processors and DSP cores can be licensed for integration into customer products. The offerings are delivered as software licenses with maintenance and support, plus IP licensing and occasional hardware-accelerated options. The company differentiates itself with a broad, end-to-end EDA portfolio and close collaboration with industry leaders to streamline the path from concept to silicon, aiming to help customers bring sophisticated silicon and electronics to market faster with lower risk and higher productivity.
