About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning complex, technical, cross-product capability.
  • Experience shipping infrastructure, DevOps, IT operations, or observability/monitoring products, ideally involving fleet management, configuration management, or software lifecycle/deployment tooling.
  • Ability to build product direction across multiple engineering teams with differing priorities and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, defining scope, and sequencing capabilities that deliver customer value incrementally.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort discussing architecture trade-offs with engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including distilling a multi-team initiative into a clear narrative for different audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for a unified fleet and lifecycle management capability spanning multiple product lines and deployment models.
  • Define what “managed” means for each new software component brought into fleet, balancing consistency of experience with each component's operational model.
  • Drive a phased expansion plan, sequencing new components into fleet based on customer value, technical complexity, and dependency readiness.
  • Partner with engineering leads across several teams to align on shared architecture principles supporting disparate software components.
  • Represent the customer perspective for a capability that works for both human operators using a UI and AI agents or automated tooling operating programmatically.
  • Build the business case, define success metrics, and communicate roadmap and trade-offs to engineering, design, sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • Stay connected to customers and design partners to validate priorities and de-risk major roadmap bets.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience designing products for emerging AI-agent or automation use cases.
  • Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment models and operator patterns.
  • Experience with remote configuration or feature-flagging infrastructure at scale.
  • Familiarity with bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) or customer-hosted software deployment models.

About the Company

Datadog

Builds monitoring and security tools for clouds

Datadog builds monitoring and security software for developers and operations teams that run cloud applications, giving them a shared view of system health and performance. Its platform links infrastructure monitoring with application performance and log analysis so teams trace a problem across the systems involved. Software agents and integrations collect operational data, which teams explore through dashboards and alerts to find failures, investigate threats and improve the customer experience. The company sells subscriptions to individual products and combined plans, with charges tied to the resources and data monitored. Datadog was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in New York City.
