Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in a nonconformance machine shop, weld shop, precision sheet metal shop, assembly shop, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the calibration and use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102.
  • Experience using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, Microsoft Office, and material requirements planning or enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience working on cross-functional improvement teams.
  • Experience collecting data, graphing it in multiple ways to support goal setting and process improvement opportunities, and reporting monthly, quarterly, and yearly measurements.
  • A valid Kansas driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of material requirements planning systems.
  • Ability to inspect details and assemblies.
  • Ability to work in an office and shop environment and comply with eye and hearing protection requirements on the shop floor.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate containment of suspect nonconforming material in stock and work in process and document the results.
  • Create initial corrective actions, corrective actions, shop inspection plans, and other proactive detection tools to improve inspection processes.
  • Hold quality review board meetings in support of Quality Managers.
  • Analyze raw data by separating it into component parts and presenting it in an easily understood format.
  • Compile raw data from numerous sources into a single clear and concise presentation.
  • Interpret instructions from different people to establish and develop the desired results for required charts and graphs.
  • Perform under pressure with last-minute deadlines, changes, or additions to shared data.
  • Provide real-time shop-floor support for quality investigations.
  • Create nonconformance reports and other quality documentation in QCBD as required.
  • Conduct internal audits of the quality management system as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Power Query.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control.
  • Coordinate and understand defects per unit and parts per million metrics.
  • Coordinate with customer contacts in a cross-functional work environment.
  • Background using coordinate measuring machines.
  • Experience with CATIA and Verisurf software.
  • Experience with a Romer Arm.
