Requirements
  • An RN degree (Associate Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or Master of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing, or an LPN qualification from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • The nursing license must be valid in the State of Arizona with no adverse actions.
  • Must have good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must have an unencumbered nursing license.
  • Must complete CPR/First Aid, Prevention & Support, Article 9, and other training required by Danville and the State of Arizona Division for Developmental Disabilities.
  • Must pass a criminal background, fingerprint, and central registry check.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive manual and finger dexterity tasks, maintain eye-hand coordination, use office equipment, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate body mechanics.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time.
  • Must be able to assist with transferring individuals weighing up to 250 pounds using manual or mechanical lifting devices and proper body mechanics.
  • Must have corrected vision and hearing within the normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with staff, other professionals, and consumers.
  • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to work in home-like and office settings with varying background noise, handle potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens using universal precautions, manage stressful conditions and emergencies, meet scheduled appointments and deadlines, and manage crisis situations.
  • Must be able to interact with consumers who may be frail, confused, intellectually or developmentally delayed, or potentially verbally or physically aggressive.
Responsibilities
  • Provide for the emotional, medical, and physical needs of Danville's consumers.
  • Improve consumers' quality of life by observing, documenting, reporting, taking action, and following up on their health, safety, and medical needs.
  • Implement medical recommendations made by the team and the Director of Nursing.
  • Provide nursing services under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
  • Perform duties within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is preferred.
