About the job
- A bachelor's-level degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the field is required; 3 to 5 years of insurance experience is preferred.
- An active Broker's Group Life & Health License is required.
- Maintain an active Group Life & Health Insurance License in each assigned state.
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal departments and external clients.
- Manage time effectively.
- Prioritize and complete multiple tasks while delivering successful results.
- Articulate and impart benefits knowledge within an assigned sales region.
- Develop strong working relationships.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and be self-driven and motivated.
- Help Business Consultants develop the overall benefits strategy, including evaluating current offerings, evaluating and presenting proposed options, developing and updating contribution models, finalizing benefits options, and negotiating final rates for all Master Plan Benefits programs.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and efficiently, and assist nationally as needed.
- Serve as the benefits expert for the assigned sales region.
- Travel as needed and work outside the assigned sales region from time to time as needed.
- Communicate and present benefits programs.
- Negotiate and finalize benefits offerings.
- Develop strong relationships with Benefits Consultants.
- Knowledge of benefits strategy development; benefits and market trends; open-market offerings and carriers for comparison; medical, ancillary, and voluntary benefits; benefit implementation rules and timelines; contribution modeling; and underwriting rules and guidelines.
