Terms were not disclosed. Accutracs client-based software, Accutrac XE(TM), enhances Iron Mountains core records management capabilities by helping customers to better manage, retain, and access records throughout their lifecycle from creation through disposition. Our customers want us to partner with them throughout the lifecycle of a record to help reduce the costs and risks
Iron Mountain expects to maintain over 300 MW of data centre capacity in its rolling 18–24-month pipeline, despite leasing more than 50 MW in Mumbai during the third quarter. The company has another 300+ MW of permitted land with utility commitments for future energisation. Chief executive Bill Meaney said major cloud and AI hyperscalers account for over 90% of data centre leasing, typically through 10- to 15-year agreements. The company is focusing on Virginia, India, Europe, and the Middle East. Asset lifecycle management is driving significant growth, with enterprise ALM revenue expected to reach roughly $600 million this year, up from $30 million in 2021. Management reaffirmed targets of more than 10% annual AFFO-per-share growth and approximately 10% annual dividend growth.
Iron Mountain wins first-time analyst nods for InSight DXP. Mon, 28th Sep 2026 (Today) Iron Mountain has received first-time recognition in four analyst reports from Gartner, IDC and Forrester, centred on its InSight DXP platform. It appeared in categories spanning intelligent document processing, content services, mailroom automation and document analytics, giving it a broader presence in analyst assessments than before. Gartner named Iron Mountain a Challenger in its Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Document Processing. IDC placed it as a Major Player in its Worldwide Intelligent Content Services assessment and as a Leader in its Worldwide Mailroom Solutions and Services report. Forrester rated it a Strong Performer in its review of document mining and analytics platforms. These assessments focus on a market where companies are trying to use large stores of unstructured information for automation and artificial intelligence projects. Iron Mountain says InSight DXP is designed to connect physical and digital records and apply governance controls to workflows that use those records. Analyst placements Gartner described intelligent document processing as going beyond optical character recognition by using a mix of artificial intelligence methods, including machine learning, large language models and knowledge graphs, to extract data from different document types and formats. In IDC's intelligent content services assessment, the analyst firm said the platform manages the information lifecycle, from physical-to-digital lineage tracking to automated workflows, retention and AI-led insight generation. IDC also highlighted Iron Mountain's compliance background, noting FedRAMP High certification and HITRUST r2 certifications in progress. In a separate report on mailroom solutions and services, IDC described Iron Mountain as combining physical mailroom operations with a cloud-native intelligent document processing platform that uses AI routing agents and large language model-based content understanding. It also noted that the company's customer base includes many Fortune 1000 companies. Forrester gave Iron Mountain its highest possible scores for agentic AI functionality, document labelling and annotation, user interface, accuracy verification techniques, and platform breadth and supported use cases. Market push The recognition comes as information management groups seek a larger role in the push to prepare corporate records for AI systems. Many businesses still hold large volumes of paper archives, scanned files, emails and other unstructured material that are difficult to search, classify or use in automated processes. Iron Mountain, long known for records storage and information management, has been expanding its digital product offering around that need. It said customers are using InSight DXP to turn dormant information into data that can be used in workflow tools and AI models. Narasimha Goli, Chief Technology Officer at Iron Mountain, said the company sees recurring barriers to trusted AI use inside large organisations. "Organisations are embedding AI agents into enterprise workflows, but four gaps stand in the way of trusted outcomes: fragmented information, missing business context, inconsistent governance, and limited explainability," said Goli. "Success requires trusted, contextual information, strong governance, and an enterprise harness that defines what agents can access, how they act, and when people must review their decisions. For us, the first-time inclusion in these reports reinforces our strategy of helping customers unlock their dark data and put it to work through trusted automation, with the oversight and evidence needed to support measurable business outcomes." The reference to dark data reflects a wider industry push to bring older or neglected corporate information into systems that can support automated decision-making. That often requires tools for extraction, classification, audit trails and human review, especially in regulated sectors. Iron Mountain also pointed to customer growth tied to the product, including work in the Middle East with the Social Development Bank in Saudi Arabia. The bank is using InSight DXP to update and automate small and medium enterprise loan operations through intelligent document processing. The combination of analyst recognition and customer expansion suggests Iron Mountain is trying to reposition itself beyond its traditional storage business and into software-led information management. The latest ratings place it in direct competition with suppliers of document automation, content services and analytics tools as companies look for ways to manage records, governance and AI use within the same systems.
Telangana targets 5GW data centre capacity by 2029 as Microsoft opens Hyderabad region. 24 September 2026 9:01 AM State eyes $30 billion AI and digital infrastructure investment as Microsoft opens Hyderabad cloud region. Sridhar Babu says Microsoft's Hyderabad cloud region strengthens Telangana's innovation ecosystem. (Image: X) Hyderabad: Telangana is targeting five-gigawatt hyperscale data centre capacity by 2029, with a potential $30 billion investment across the AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem. The state government made this announcement as Microsoft officially opened its 'India south central' cloud region in Hyderabad, designating the facility as a strategic hub for Asia and the Global South. India south central is Microsoft's fourth cloud region in India and its largest hyperscale footprint in the country. It marks an expansion of the company's cloud and AI infrastructure in India. It reinforces Telangana's growing role in the national cloud and AI economy, with the state's hyperscale and AI infrastructure ecosystem already operating 300 MW of data centre and 2 GW under development. Microsoft's India South Central region will strengthen Hyderabad's position as a strategic hub for cloud and AI, supporting the growth of AI-led enterprises, digital innovation and high-value technology capabilities across the region. By bringing advanced cloud infrastructure closer to businesses, talent and innovators, the investment will help accelerate AI adoption, create new opportunities across the technology ecosystem and further strengthen Hyderabad's role in India's AI economy. The region operates with effectively zero water use for cooling. The development builds on Microsoft's more than two-decade presence in Hyderabad, spanning engineering, innovation, cloud infrastructure and AI. Microsoft is also investing in Telangana's local talent pipeline through its Data Center Academy, in partnership with International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad), Young India Skills University (YISU), the Government of Telangana and Don Bosco Tech Society. The 600-hour programme prepares students for careers in data center operations and infrastructure management. Microsoft is also supporting Telangana's sustainability and talent agenda through the Green Skills & Applied AI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, in partnership with the Government of Telangana, 1M1B and MeitY Startup Hub. With a dedicated Green Pharma track. Discover more Sports news coverage Nation news updates IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, who inaugurated the facility alongside Microsoft India & South Asia President Puneet Chandok and Microsoft India Development Centre MD Rajiv Kumar, said the development adds "real strength" to Telangana's ambition to become India's innovation capital, as the state enjoys vibrant innovation ecosystem with over 500 global capability centres (GCCs). The shift in the nature of data centre capacity is notable as the new projects are increasingly designed around AI-scale compute, high-density GPUs, hyperscale cloud and advanced cooling systems, rather than conventional enterprise requirements. Global players including AWS, Iron Mountain, CtrlS, Sify, TCL, NTT DATA and CapitaLand are investing in large-scale compute and data centre infrastructure in the state.
