About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in SaaS sales, including 3–5 or more years in senior sales leadership managing managers while still actively selling and closing.
  • A proven player-coach track record, including personal quota ownership and closing alongside team leadership.
  • Experience building and scaling teams in a subscription or recurring-revenue business, ideally with a multi-product ecosystem involving bundling, cross-sell, and upsell.

  • A track record of developing sales managers and directors, not just individual representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own go-to-market strategy across the integrated suite, establishing one coherent path to market regardless of the product through which a customer enters.

  • Personally influence deal closings and assist with large opportunities.
  • Lead by example in discovery, demonstrations, negotiation, and closing.
  • Join team deals as needed to address objections, pricing, and complex multi-product sales cycles.
  • Recruit, hire, and coach a high-performing sales organization; build the leadership bench by developing managers and directors.
  • Design cross-sell and upsell motions across the suite and build compensation plans, quotas, and territory and segment structures aligned with company goals.
  • Run pipeline reviews, forecasting, and coaching cadences.
  • Own forecasting, pipeline reporting, and revenue visibility across the portfolio, providing one source of truth for the chief revenue officer and executive team.
  • Deliver against annual recurring revenue and bookings targets across new business, cross-sell, and expansion.
  • Partner with Marketing on pipeline generation and conversion, and with Customer Success on handoffs, net revenue retention, and churn.
  • Own the sales technology stack to maximize representative productivity.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and customer feedback to Product and Marketing leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Real estate, proptech, or vertical SaaS experience.
  • An existing network or credibility in the real estate industry.
  • Experience scaling a company through Series B–D or a similar growth inflection.

PLACE acquires Ardley to build connected mortgage operating system

PLACE, a real estate and financial services technology unicorn, has announced an agreement to acquire Ardley, an AI-powered automated recapture and retention software for mortgage companies and banks. The acquisition advances PLACE's strategy to build a connected operating system for the mortgage industry. Ardley's platform helps servicers and lenders convert existing loan portfolios into new originations, functioning as a retention tool to keep customers within lenders' portfolios whilst generating opportunities like second mortgages or lines of credit. The acquisition follows PLACE's recent purchases of Maxwell, Remine, Envoy Mortgage, and multiple divisions from Radian Group. Maxwell serves more than 400 financial institutions and facilitates over $130 billion in annual mortgage transactions. Both Ardley and Maxwell separately touched nearly one in 10 US mortgage originations in 2025.

PLACE acquired Ardley, a recapture and retention software provider for independent mortgage lenders and banks, continuing its push to build a connected homeownership operating system. AI Summary PLACE has acquired Ardley, a recapture and retention software provider for independent mortgage companies and banks, the companies announced Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition, which grows PLACE's mortgage footprint, follows purchases of Maxwell, Remine, Envoy Mortgage and multiple divisions of Radian Group. It's part of a strategy to create a connected ecosystem that covers borrower acquisition, origination, fulfillment, servicing, valuation, portfolio intelligence, retention and transaction services. Ardley's software analyzes existing loan portfolios and sends prestructured loan offers to customers, helping lenders convert servicing relationships into new originations and keep borrowers from refinancing or taking out additional loans with competitors. "Ardley adds the intelligence layer to help lenders turn existing customer relationships into their next loan, rather than starting from scratch every time," Chris Stuart, president of PLACE, said in an email to HousingWire. PLACE acquires fintech Maxwell, which touched nearly 1 in 10 US mortgage transactions in 2025

PLACE, a real estate and financial services technology company, has acquired Maxwell, an AI-powered mortgage technology provider serving over 400 financial institutions. Maxwell facilitates more than $130 billion in annual transactions and touched nearly 10% of mortgage originations in 2025. The acquisition deepens PLACE's presence in the mortgage and institutional real estate sector. Maxwell's point-of-sale solution, business intelligence, and origination services will complement PLACE's existing platform, which currently serves hundreds of thousands of real estate professionals and touched more than 100,000 transactions in 2025. Maxwell reported 20% five-year compound annual growth despite low housing market volumes. The company will continue operating its platform with no disruption to existing contracts or services. Earlier this year, PLACE acquired the Real Estate Services business of Radian Group, expanding into institutional real estate services.

PLACE acquires Maxwell, pushing deeper into mortgage tech.

PLACE acquires Maxwell, pushing deeper into mortgage tech. The growing proptech company is expanding deeper into mortgage lending and financial services PLACE CEO Ben Kinney (right) talks with Jim Dalrymple II at Inman Connect New York 2023 | AJ Canaria and Mercedes Santiago Today, September 24, 2026 Quick read. * Proptech company PLACE has acquired mortgage technology firm Maxwell, which serves over 400 financial institutions and facilitates $130 billion in annual mortgage transactions. * Maxwell will operate independently post-acquisition, retaining CEO John Paasonen and all 100+ employees, with no disruption to existing customer contracts or services. * Maxwell's technology targets small and midsize lenders, including point-of-sale tools, mortgage fulfillment and AI-driven business intelligence analyzing lender data. An AI tool created this summary, which was based on the text of the article and checked by an editor. Proptech firm PLACE has acquired mortgage technology company Maxwell, expanding the real estate technology platform's reach into mortgage lending and financial services, the companies announced Thursday. Maxwell, which provides mortgage technology and services to more than 400 financial institutions, facilitates more than $130 billion in annual transactions, according to the announcement. PLACE said the acquisition will allow it to expand deeper into the mortgage and institutional sides of the real estate industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Maxwell co-founder John Paasonen will remain CEO of the company following the acquisition, and all of its more than 100 employees will be retained, a PLACE spokesperson told Inman. Maxwell will also continue operating as an independent company, with PLACE investing in its work serving mortgage lenders, banks and credit unions, the spokesperson said. "Maxwell is fundamentally aligned with the PLACE vision of a simpler, more connected real estate transaction," PLACE CEO and co-founder Ben Kinney said in the announcement. "The mortgage experience is a critical point to build trust with consumers." Founded in 2015, Maxwell has built a suite of products and services aimed largely at small and mid-sized mortgage lenders, banks and credit unions. The company's offerings include point-of-sale technology, business intelligence, mortgage fulfillment and due diligence services, as well as private-label origination. PLACE said Maxwell touched nearly 10 percent of mortgage origination transactions in 2025. The company also said that Maxwell customers will see no disruption to their existing contracts, services or relationships following the acquisition. Maxwell has expanded substantially through both fundraising and acquisitions in recent years. The Denver-based company raised $52.5 million in 2021, funding it said at the time would support hiring across product, engineering, sales and marketing. Maxwell then acquired LenderSelect Mortgage Group in 2023, a deal that expanded its reach among community banks and credit unions and its secondary-market trading business. Later that year, Maxwell acquired Chicago-based digital mortgage platform Revvin, formerly known as MortgageHippo. By 2024, Maxwell was also rolling out artificial intelligence capabilities through its business intelligence platform, which analyzes lender data to identify trends and opportunities. The Maxwell acquisition also follows PLACE's purchase earlier this year of Radian Group's Real Estate Services business, which added due diligence, REO asset management and valuation services to the company's growing institutional real estate business. Paasonen said bringing Maxwell into PLACE would allow the companies to more closely connect the mortgage and real estate sides of a transaction. "By doubling down on deeper connectivity between the real estate transaction and the mortgage transaction, under one platform, PLACE and Maxwell will enable lenders of all sizes to unlock a powerful synergy that makes consumers the center of the homeownership journey, no matter what brokerage or lender they choose," Paasonen said.
