Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
  • The ability to learn, carry out, and become certified in CPI physical interventions and de-escalation techniques is required.
  • The ability to learn, carry out, and become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid is required.
  • A valid driver's license or ability to drive is required.
  • Availability to work some daytime and evening shifts is required.
Responsibilities
  • Spend time with and supervise 12 youth in a mid-size home-like environment.
  • Provide support and encouragement to youth.
  • Ensure the overall safety of youth in the program.
  • Assist youth with service goals, including homework help, coping skills, and behavior management.
  • Act as a positive role model to support youths' wellbeing.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience working with adolescents is preferred.
  • Residential experience is preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as the Department of Mental Health and the Department of Children and Families is preferred.
  • Additional languages are desirable.
