Requirements
  • Two to five years of experience in venture capital, early-stage investing, startups, or a related field.
  • Build strong relationships across founders, angels, microfunds, operators, and investors.
  • Demonstrate judgment in identifying exceptional founders, including those who do not fit obvious or over-credentialed patterns.
  • Show drive for active sourcing through consistent market engagement.
  • Evaluate founders and their ventures, including the significance of the opportunity and its potential to become a venture-scale business.
  • Manage an active pipeline with rigorous follow-ups, prioritization, customer relationship management hygiene, and signal tracking.
  • Think systematically about ecosystem coverage, diagnosing network gaps and improving presence and effort across channels.
  • Work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and proactively improve workflows.
  • Build trust and reputation through long-term relationships and value for founders and external partners.
  • Navigate ecosystems, make warm introductions, and create network effects.
  • Be resourceful and proactive when building amid ambiguity.
  • Communicate with empathy and credibility with founders.
  • Proactively use artificial intelligence and emerging technology tools, experimenting with and refining technology-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Build a trusted network among founders, angels, scouts, venture funds, operators, and entrepreneurial communities, and develop market presence where strong founders emerge.
  • Expand the company’s network and visibility in the healthcare artificial intelligence ecosystem by tracking emerging founders, productive micro-communities, and developing market conviction; bring insights into the investment process and broader platform.
  • Source high-potential pre-seed investment opportunities through founder relationships across operator networks, universities, accelerators, founder communities, events, dinners, and digital channels, using active market engagement and desk sourcing.
  • Maintain a high-quality pipeline of founders and deals, with a clear point of view on the attention required to convert each opportunity.
  • Assess founder quality in the pipeline and relay learnings about founder attributes and signals to inform future sourcing.
  • Map universities, accelerators, regional ecosystems, founder communities, and events for sustained engagement, and create opportunities for investment teammates to participate directly.
  • Personally cultivate priority networks while directing teammates to relevant settings, relationships, and conversations to extend ecosystem coverage.
  • Build trust with founders and work with them through evaluation, diligence, and preparation for an Investment Committee pitch.
  • Discuss the company’s investment thesis areas with prospective founders and demonstrate insight into the healthcare market.
  • Surface diligence questions relevant to investment decisions and support process management with speed and rigor.
  • Build and refine an artificial-intelligence-enabled sourcing engine using data signals, workflow automation, network mapping, market monitoring, and artificial intelligence tools to identify founder targets, prioritize outreach, track ecosystem movement, and improve productivity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct prior exposure to founder sourcing or venture ecosystem development is strongly preferred.

About the company

Redesign Health builds and scales new healthcare companies from the ground up. It ideates based on identified health needs, recruits top founders, and creates startups that focus on patient solutions and provider support. The process involves in-house research, due diligence, and leveraging a network of over 200 healthcare incumbents to identify opportunities, then launching and rapidly growing these ventures until they become profitable. Revenue comes from the services provided by the portfolio companies, with potential exits through acquisitions or public offerings. Unlike firms that only invest in existing businesses, Redesign Health creates new companies designed to address significant health challenges. Their goal is to improve human health by delivering scalable, market-ready healthcare solutions and sustaining growth for the ventures they build.

What believers are saying

  • June 2026 India expansion opens a large, digital-first healthcare market for new ventures.
  • OmicsBank raised $2.25 million from Redesign on August 25, 2026, signaling active deployment.
  • The 12-person India team and Sky Impact partnership accelerate sourcing, diligence, and partnerships.

What critics are saying

  • Idea-stage healthcare AI bets need long regulatory and reimbursement cycles before meaningful revenue.
  • Backing only five to six India startups yearly concentrates losses if launches stall.
  • If portfolio exits keep lagging, Redesign becomes a talent-heavy studio without compounding returns.

What makes Redesign Health unique

  • Redesign Health builds companies, not just backs them, from ideation through exit.
  • Its June 2026 India fund targets healthcare AI founders at pre-seed and ideation.
  • The platform’s operator network spans U.S., Middle East, and India healthcare incumbents.
