Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • A valid Alaska driver's license.
  • Five years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting boilers.
  • Pool certification.
  • Five years of construction trades or facilities maintenance management experience.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with District and other officials to ensure full educational, administrative, and community use of District facilities is available at all times.
  • Ensure District facilities are accessible for educational, administrative, and community use.
  • Monitor, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot all facility systems.
  • Schedule, implement, and supervise facility maintenance work programs.
  • Submit project progress reports, daily work logs, inventories, and monthly activity reports when required.
  • Adhere to state and federal structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire codes.
  • Implement, schedule, and maintain all safety and mandated programs for District facilities.
  • Attend District training as required.
  • Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Public Management certification.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
  • Inupiaq speaking ability and cultural experience.
