Requirements
  • Six to ten years of banking and/or Federal Government or Development Organizations sales and contracting experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the Defense, Federal Government, or Development Finance field is required.
  • Series 79 and Series 63 licenses are required within 150 days of accepting the job.
  • A Bachelor's or University degree is required.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, cash management, and payments is required.
  • Strong execution, problem-solving, analytical, banking, negotiation, technical, and systems skills are required.
  • Demonstrated interest in geopolitics and passion for Federal Government, Development Finance, and Public Sector work are required.
Responsibilities
  • Originate new business and identify cross-sell opportunities in partnership with Parent Account Managers in the Defense and Development segments by anticipating client needs.
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to Public Sector clients in concert with Parent Account Managers and Product Teams, reflecting government priorities and policies.
  • Contribute to sales presentations, proposals, content and thought leadership, and client meeting follow-up.
  • Develop mastery across the entire product suite to identify opportunities.
  • Lead and manage key aspects and contacts within Federal Government client relationships or prospects.
  • Manage existing Federal Government contract requirements in close coordination with product owners.
  • Anticipate, prioritize, and execute client needs across Banking, Services, and Markets to deliver a high degree of trust and client satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed revenue growth and revenue recognition goals identified by the Federal Government Parent Account Manager during annual goal setting.
  • Develop rapport with ICM to ensure a coordinated First Line of Defense approach when engaging with Risk partners, and develop working relationships with Independent Compliance Risk Management and Legal.
  • Develop deep knowledge of each client to advocate for bespoke client needs within the Citi network.
  • Navigate Citi processes using a Defense and Development Organizations Public Sector lens and ensure sector-specific needs are incorporated into new processes.
  • Contribute to Citi Public Sector events and initiatives, including advising other Parent Account Manager teams and supporting Public Sector senior staff with client-facing materials.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in an apprenticeship environment.
  • Travel to client meetings within budget to secure new business and enhance client satisfaction.

Coinbase and Citi link bank rails to stablecoin payments for merchants

Coinbase Global and Citi have launched new features linking the bank's payment systems with Coinbase's stablecoin infrastructure. Citi's Virtual Account Wallet for Coinbase will automatically convert client fiat balances into stablecoins and convert incoming stablecoins back into fiat. Merchants using Citi's Spring platform can now accept stablecoin payments whilst keeping settlement within Citi's regulated banking system. The partnership supports Coinbase's strategy to reduce reliance on trading fees by expanding subscription and service revenue, including payments infrastructure and custody services.
