  • 6-10 years of experience working as an Account Executive, ideally in a fast-growing startup or larger tech company with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals.
  • Fast learner and ability to excel in ambiguous, challenging problems.
  • Experience running the full sales cycle, from prospecting through proofs of concept, commercials, and initial expansion.
  • Experience selling to companies with 500-8,000 full-time employees and demonstrated velocity in initial landing deals and expansion.
  • Horizontal product experience and ability to tailor value propositions to different personas.
  • Strong data literacy and comfort engaging with technical concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Experience learning new tools, processes, industries/verticals and building things from scratch.
  • Prior experience in finance, operations or consulting is a potential advantage but not required.
  • Based in New York or San Francisco and comfortable commuting to the office 3-4 times per week.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to grow and learn.
  • Product proficiency and deep understanding of customer pain points and use cases.

Responsibilities
  • Evangelize Parabola by helping potential customers see how automation can improve processes, including those relying on multiple data sources and unstructured data (such as email and PDFs).
  • Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
  • Lead discovery calls with prospective customers to identify meaningful initial use cases for Parabola.
  • Lead demos and manage risk-free 30-day proofs of concept for leading retail, freight and other complex businesses deploying Parabola across their company.
  • Share learnings from customer conversations with product, engineering, and design teams.
  • Work with customers through multiple calls and a 30-day proof of concept as part of a non-traditional enterprise sale.
  • Understand upstream and downstream processes of the teams you work with and help them collaborate more effectively and identify high-leverage processes.
  • Build unparalleled champions within organizations who advocate for Parabola beyond initial land and expansion.
  • Gather cross-functional feedback from Automation Engineers, Product, and executive sponsors to inform go-to-market efforts.
  • Be a positive example and contribute to building a team that values collective success.
  • Contribute to building out an enterprise go-to-market playbook to support current team and future growth.

Parabola automates complex eCommerce and retail workflows with a no-code platform. Users build automated data flows without writing code, connecting data sources via APIs to perform tasks such as real-time inventory updates, packing list generation, and order forecasts. Workflows are created with a drag-and-drop interface and run automatically to move data between systems, trigger actions, and schedule tasks.
