About the Job

Requirements

  • The candidate must have 10 to 15 years of experience in intellectual property or subsystem verification on multimillion-gate, complex designs with multiple clocks, with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate must have experience developing testbenches and test plans for thorough functional verification, performance verification, and feature traceability.
  • The candidate must have experience with microcontroller architecture, Advanced RISC Machine cores, Advanced High-performance Bus and Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture protocols, Advanced eXtensible Interface, Flash, static random-access memory, double data rate memory, and memory controllers.
  • The candidate must have strong working knowledge of hardware verification languages including Universal Verification Methodology, SystemVerilog, and C++, hardware description languages including Verilog and Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language, Programming Language Interface, Direct Programming Interface, and simulators including NCSim, VCS, ModelSim, and Questa.
  • The candidate must have experience with the end-to-end intellectual property verification project cycle, including testbench strategies, testbench development, and simulation debugging.
  • The candidate should have exposure to formal verification methodology, assertions using SystemVerilog Assertions, functional coverage, gate-level simulations, verification planning, and regression management.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and deploy evolving verification methodologies to handle increasingly complex intellectual property and subsystem designs within aggressive, market-driven schedules.
  • Own and ensure quality adherence during all stages of the project cycle.
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend and implement process improvements to ensure zero-defect intellectual property and subsystem designs.
  • Build and influence technological innovations for individual and team environments.
  • Work hands-on as part of local, remote, and multisite teams.
  • Work with Systems, Design, Design for Test, Mixed Signal, and other local and remote teams to address verification challenges for intellectual property, subsystems, and overall systems through simulation, hardware modeling, formal verification, and active participation in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in domains such as automotive graphics or vision accelerators, slow- and high-speed serial intellectual property controllers, and networking protocols such as Ethernet.
  • Strong ability to drive verification methodologies for candidates with more than 10 years of experience.
  • Exposure to pre-silicon validation and emulation.

About the Company

NXP Semiconductors

Automotive semiconductors and secure embedded solutions

NXP Semiconductors designs and sells semiconductor chips for vehicles and other devices. Its products include automotive-grade microcontrollers and other ICs used in engines, infotainment, safety systems, and networked car architectures. These chips process data, run software, and enable features such as advanced driver assistance and vehicle connectivity, often with strong security and real-time performance. Unlike some peers, NXP became an independent company after Philips spun off its semiconductor unit in 2006 and later merged with Freescale in 2015, building a focused strength in automotive semiconductors and microcontrollers. This gives it a clear niche in the market and the goal of growing as a standalone leader in smarter, connected vehicles and related technologies.
