Responsibilities
  • Partner with and support strategic discussions with cross-functional stakeholders, influencing effective decision-making by providing valuable insights and building trust.
  • Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, Board reporting, and BvA’s for assigned areas.
  • Own the administration and continued evolution of Pigment, including data model design, system integrations, building new forecast models, and streamlining existing models.
  • Collaborate with Finance peers to track performance metrics and KPIs, monitor business results, and drive stakeholder engagement and accountability.
  • Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes, and use forecasting and financial system capabilities to support rapid global scaling.
  • Highlight strategic opportunities to improve operations, increase revenue, or decrease costs.

Aurora Solar updates platform to include home electrification and new financing tools. Updates to the Aurora Solar platform address shifts in consumer demand, enabling installers to quote solar alongside HVAC and EV charging, improving drone mapping and broadening sales and financing options. Sep 22 2026 Aurora Solar has announced software platform updates for the U.S., U.K. and Europe that it says will give installers a more holistic way to meet the needs of homeowners looking to reduce their total energy use and monthly costs. The new features allow installers to include home electrification products, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electric vehicle (EV) chargers and battery storage, within a single solar sales proposal. The company has also incorporated new methods of financing into the platform, and has developed an embeddable lead capture tool installers can add to their own websites to convert web visitors into customers. In addition, Aurora Solar will soon launch improvements to drone mapping in its platform that more easily turn scans into designs incorporated into its quote tool. The changes were driven by shifts in homeowner demand occurring even before the end of the Section 25D tax credit, and in anticipation of further changes to the market when the Section 48E credit ends in 14 months. Despite those major changes to project economics, homeowner interest in solar remains high, partially due to increases in electricity prices that continue to outpace historical rates of growth. "These aren't a bunch of unrelated product updates. They're a response to what the solar market now asks installers to do," said Aurora Solar industry researcher Fox Swim, in comments to pv magazine USA. "In our research, 71% of U.S. homeowners said they're at least somewhat interested in solar. But turning that interest into a viable project has gotten harder. Installers need to explain a wider range of financing, sell more than a single product, and reduce the time and cost between the first conversation and the final design. We're aiming to give them everything they need to thrive in the new state of solar." Financing flexibility The financing options added to the Aurora Solar platform include a greater variety of prepaid leases and prepaid power purchase agreements (PPAs). Swim notes that this is due to the prevalence of these third-party ownership (TPO) options in the current market. According to Aurora's 2026 Solar Snapshot report, almost two-thirds (65%) of the solar sales professionals surveyed expected more than half of their 2026 projects to use TPO. That represents a great deal of change from a market that was previously largely dominated by long-term solar loans. Swim sees further changes coming down the pike as the U.S. market anticipates the expiration of the 48E tax credit in 14 months. She noted that the industry is seeing growth in financing connected to virtual power plant (VPP) operations, in which homeowners can get solar installations with payments either offset by their own participation in a VPP, or subsidized by income that TPO companies generate through grid services. This matches the model currently practiced by several battery companies and battery-attached retail electric providers in Texas, like Base Power, Solrite, and Octopus Energy, which offer discounted battery backup plans and sometimes even low-rate electricity to homeowners who agree to let their batteries be discharged during certain grid events. Alongside the U.S. updates, Aurora Solar has launched dedicated platform tools for the U.K. market and introduced residential heat pump modeling for German installers. The company says it plans to showcase the complete suite of electrification and design updates during its virtual product event, Horizon, scheduled for Oct. 22. The web software aims to united solar design, storage, and financial cost-benefit analysis under one proverbial roof, Aurora Solar representatives say.
