Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of welding, fabricating, assembly, and repair service experience.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.
  • An adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
  • A driving record that meets the employer’s insurance company requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Install new grain handling equipment, including grain legs, grain dryers, and blower systems.
  • Perform metal fabrication and welding and repair used equipment when necessary.
  • Provide customer service to customers on the job and by phone.
  • Maintain knowledge of grain equipment and customer needs.
  • Provide recommendations to help customers make appropriate decisions for their needs.
  • Communicate, enforce, and participate in safety measures and procedures.
  • Post job times and parts accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain customer relations and treat everyone with respect.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Build and install new grain handling equipment.
  • Use specialized hand tools, including welding, torching, and grinding equipment.
  • Operate cranes safely and concisely.
  • Work with subcontractors at the same location and communicate to achieve shared goals.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with peers, management, and support resources.
  • Perform other appropriate responsibilities assigned by the manager.

  • An Associate’s degree in an agriculture field or metal welding/fabrication.
