Peacock Ups release date for two-part doc 'oj's Accomplice' to Nov. 1.

Peacock Ups release date for two-part doc 'oj's Accomplice' to Nov. 1. October 27, 2026 Peacock has moved up the premiere of its two-part documentary "OJ's Accomplice" to Nov. 1. The sneak peek from the documentary offers an early look at the new findings uncovered during Ample Entertainment's year-long investigation. More than three decades after the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, "OJ's Accomplice" challenges one of the most enduring assumptions surrounding the case: that O.J. Simpson acted alone. The two-part documentary takes a fresh look at the case, exploring questions and theories that have persisted for many years. The doc reexamines the crime scene, key evidence and features exclusive interviews and previously unheard firsthand accounts including from the original defense investigator Pat McKenna, lead detective Tom Lange and DEA agent Robert Brisolari. The documentary also brings together testimony from members of Simpson's original defense team; Kato Kaelin, a former roommate of A.C. Cowlings; Nicole Brown's sister Tanya Brown; and a newly identified eyewitness, uncovering new firsthand information concerning the possible involvement of an accomplice. Together, these accounts raise provocative new questions about what happened on June 12, 1994, and whether the full story has ever been told. * Peacock to Begin Streaming 'Twisters' on Nov. 15 NBCUniversal's Peacock subscription streaming service will begin offering Universal Pictures' actioner Twisters on Nov. 15. Stephen & Simon Cornwell take on chairmen roles at 'Night Manager' Producer The Ink Factory as Michele Wolkoff upped to President.

Stephen & Simon Cornwell take on chairmen roles at 'Night Manager' Producer The Ink Factory as Michele Wolkoff upped to President. EXCLUSIVE: Stephen and Simon Cornwell have taken on chairmen roles at their Night Manager indie The Ink Factory amid a wave of hires and promotions. The Cornwells, whose father was iconic British spy author John le Carré, have promoted Creative Director Michelle Wolkoff to President and Chief Creative Officer, while Ian Spence becomes Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Simon Cornwell becomes Executive Chairman, succeeding Rod Henwood, who remains on the board and becomes Deputy Chairman. Stephen Cornwell has taken on a Creative Co-Chairman role, providing creative and strategic support across the company's slate and operations with a primary focus on the BBC and MGM+'s The Legacy of Spies, which he is showrunning. Meanwhile, and with a new season of The Night Manager soon hitting the BBC and Prime Video, The Ink Factory has hired former NBC Universal International Studios production chief Laura Burrows as production boss, re-signed Amy Basil as Chief Marketing Officer for both The Ink Factory and John le Carré Estate, and brought in Bad Wolf's Lachlan MacKinnon as EP across the slate. Sam Costin has been promoted to a Creative Producer post in recognition of his contribution as Co-EP on the first season of Legacy of Spies. Watch on deadline. The Cornwells founded The Ink Factory in 2010 and have since made big hits like The Night Manager and A Most Wanted Man. Starring Matthew Macfadyen as iconic spymaster George Smiley, Legacy of Spies is anticipated to be the next big one. Simon and Stephen Cornwell said: "Over sixteen years and counting, we have been custodians of both our father's legacy through the adaptations The Ink Factory has made, as well as realising an array of work from the most compelling storytellers and filmmakers working today. We're exhilarated by the possibilities that lie ahead and the opportunities for Michele and Ian - vital members of the Ink Factory family for many years now - to work alongside us as we continue to guide the direction of our future and broaden our scope and slate. We are also delighted to welcome Laura and Lachlan, and the returning Amy, to the team as we enter the next era of Ink." Wolkoff described her new role as a "unique privilege," coming "at such an important moment for Ink Factory and to help shape the company's next chapter." "What John le Carré built is a world of ideas, attitudes, incredible characters, and tradecraft - through stories which artfully balance being both thrilling entertainment and a deep interrogation of the important questions of our time," she added. "I am excited to continue exploring that world, in ways that expand what we understand adaptation to be."

Comcast media strength offsets broadband loss.

Comcast media strength offsets broadband loss. Key moments. * Comcast lost 144,000 broadband customers in the third quarter, a deeper decline than analysts had forecast. * NBCUniversal's media division increased third-quarter revenue by 13% to $5.36 billion, with Peacock swinging to a pre-tax profit of $261 million. * Comcast posted adjusted earnings of $1.07 per share, topping the analyst consensus of 98 cents per share. Broadband business under pressure. Comcast Corp faced a sharper-than-anticipated drop in broadband subscribers in the third quarter, as intensified competition eroded its core connectivity business. The company reported a net loss of 144,000 broadband users for the period, exceeding the 116,800 subscriber losses projected by analysts surveyed by FactSet and worsening from the 91,000 user decline recorded in the same quarter a year earlier. Management is contending with intensified pricing pressure from major telecom rivals such as AT&T, along with smaller fiber internet providers. These competitors are using aggressive discounting strategies that are making it increasingly difficult for Comcast to hold on to broadband customers without resorting to substantial promotional offers. The company is also reportedly preparing a significant round of layoffs as part of an effort to restructure its connectivity operations, aiming to adapt the business to the current competitive and pricing environment. Upcoming NBCUniversal spinoff. Comcast's media assets, grouped under NBCUniversal, are slated to be separated from the parent company as part of a planned spinoff targeted for completion by mid-2027. The separation is set to include its film and television studios, theme park operations, and the Peacock streaming platform. Media segment outperforms. NBCUniversal delivered solid growth in its media businesses during the quarter, buoyed by theatrical and streaming performance. Universal Studios saw a standout contribution from "The Odyssey," which became the highest-grossing film in the studio's history and lifted pre-tax profit for the unit by 18.6%. The broader media division generated a 13% rise in third-quarter revenue to $5.36 billion. This growth was fueled in part by soccer World Cup programming and the performance of "Love Island USA" on Peacock. Peacock itself marked a notable financial milestone. The streaming service reported pre-tax profit of $261 million for the quarter, a sharp turnaround from a pre-tax loss of $217 million in the same period a year earlier. | Segment / Metric | Current Quarter | Year-Ago Period / Estimate | Comment | | Broadband net change | -144,000 users | -91,000 users (year-ago); -116,800 (FactSet estimate) | Losses exceeded both prior-year decline and analyst expectations | | Media division revenue | $5.36 billion | N/A | Up 13% year over year | | Peacock pre-tax profit | $261 million | -$217 million (loss, year-ago) | Shifted from loss to profit | | Theme parks revenue | $2.60 billion | $2.71 billion (LSEG estimate) | Down 4.4%; below analyst expectations | | Adjusted EPS | $1.07 | $0.98 (estimate) | Beat consensus forecast | Theme parks face mixed demand. NBCUniversal's theme park division encountered softer trends, with uneven demand across regions. The company reported weaker attendance in Orlando, while geopolitical tensions continued to discourage Chinese travelers from visiting Japan, weighing on performance in that market. Revenue for the theme park segment declined 4.4% to $2.60 billion in the quarter. That result fell short of the average analyst estimate of $2.71 billion, based on figures compiled by LSEG. Earnings Beat despite connectivity headwinds. Despite the pressure on its broadband operations and the challenges in its theme park unit, Comcast delivered stronger profitability than Wall Street had expected. The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.07 per share, topping the consensus estimate of 98 cents per share.
