About the company

Whisker creates connected pet care devices, starting with automated litter boxes and Wi-Fi feeders. The Litter-Robot uses a patented rotational sift to separate waste into a sealed, carbon-filtered drawer, leaving a clean litter bed; Litter-Robot 4 adds SafeCat OmniSense, real-time waste and litter tracking, and quieter cycles, controlled via the Whisker app. The Feeder-Robot is a Wi-Fi enabled automatic feeder that schedules portions, supports multiple meals, includes anti-jam technology and a battery backup, and can operate offline. The company sells direct-to-consumer and through retailers like PetSmart and Best Buy, with the goal of expanding a line of connected pet products that simplify care and provide health insights.

Whisker rebrands GreatLitter as Lit™ to target wider cat owner market beyond Litter-Robot users

Whisker has rebranded its GreatLitter product as Lit, a standalone premium cat litter designed to reach customers beyond its existing Litter-Robot user base. The formula remains unchanged: 100% naturally sun-dried sodium bentonite clay sourced from a family farm in Wyoming, free of additives and chemicals. The rebrand aligns with Whisker's "The Future is Feline" platform and positions Lit as "Wildly clean litter." Available in 20-pound bags starting at $30, Lit is sold exclusively through Litterbox.com, Whisker.com, and Litter-Robot.com in the US. To support distribution, Whisker has opened a 47,000-square-foot fulfilment facility in North Las Vegas, which began operations in July. The facility complements the company's existing operations centre in Juneau, Wisconsin. Existing GreatLitter subscribers will automatically transition to Lit packaging.
