Requirements
  • The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • The candidate must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
  • Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with the hospital's philosophy and policies.
  • Practice nursing in accordance with the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
  • An additional life-support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification for a specific unit, is preferred.
  • Visual color acuity is preferred depending on the role in specific units.
