Brooks makes a major leap into brick-and-mortar with Boston play.

Brooks makes a major leap into brick-and-mortar with Boston play. Brooks Running will open its first-ever brick-and-mortar store in Boston at 400 Newbury St. September 29, 2026, 11:16am As Brooks Running continues to sprint ahead, it's making its first-ever brick-and-mortar retail statement in Boston. The store, at 400 Newbury Street, will open next month in one of the biggest running cities in the world. At 3,980 square feet, the space will be the first concept dedicated to Brooks' community-driven growth strategy in local markets. "Boston has a unique place in the heart of our sport," Mike Billish, Brooks Running senior vice president and general manager of the Americas, said in a statement. "Opening a Brooks store here is about more than expanding our footprint. It's about creating a space where runners can connect with the local community and experience the best of Brooks." Billish added that the store will allow Brooks to play a bigger role in "Boston's running ecosystem and contribute alongside the clubs, races, and retail partners that make it so special." You May also Like. The store is set to open on Friday, Oct. 9, with plans for special experiences and giveaways. Registered members of the Brooks Run Club who show proof of membership will receive a customer "Brooks Boston Themed" T-shirt or tote. Brooks also has plans to open a store in on its home turf of Seattle this winter. It already operates a "Trailhead" shop attached to the company's headquarters, but considers the Boston location its first full retail foray. The location is along the Burke-Gilman trail next to Lake Union, and is considered the trail's access point for runners and bikers. Citing to market research firm SNS Insider pvt ltd, Brooks said that the running gear market is projected to surpass $69.05 billion by 2032. Brooks said last month that its first half revenue growth of 14 percent includes two consecutive quarters of "record" financial results. At the time, the company said demand for the performance running brand's footwear, apparel, and accessories "remained strong across regions and channels." The running shoe brand also said last month that the global running market - one of footwear's biggest opportunities - grew 10 percent year-over-year to $43 billion in 2025, with increases in all regions. In May, the company posted its best first quarter in brand history, with double-digit growth as demand for its footwear and apparel remained strong across regions and channels. As part of its strategy to maintain its growth trajectory, the running brand in March promoted Carson Caprara to chief product officer, while chief marketing officer Melanie Allen received expanded responsibilities. And in June, the brand elevated 26-year Brooks veteran Marc Misiewicz to vice president of U.S. wholesale. "Brooks's success in run specialty is consistent with our checks in the channel, where the brand continues to widen its lead as the No. 1 player," observed BTIG's consumer retail and lifestyle brands analyst Janine Stichter at the time.
