Hilton Worldwide: Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur Debuts as a New Expression of Timeless Luxury in Malaysia.

Hilton Worldwide: Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur Debuts as a New Expression of Timeless Luxury in Malaysia. Published on 10/30/2026 at 08:49 am EDT * Waldorf Astoria makes its grand Malaysian debut in Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle, blending the brand's timeless elegance with gracious Malaysian hospitality. * The all-suite hotel features 268 expansive suites, pairing the privacy and ease of residential living with signature experiences and an art collection shaped by Malaysian heritage. * Dining concepts by internationally acclaimed chefs Garima Arora and Jean-Georges Vongerichten complement social and event spaces. KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Hilton (NYSE: HLT) proudly unveils Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, a residential-style all-suite urban retreat featuring 268 generously appointed suites, ranging from 80 to 745 square metres, where the scale, privacy and comforts of a luxury residence meet the legendary service of Waldorf Astoria. Set within Kuala Lumpur's prestigious Golden Triangle district, Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur pairs the brand's legacy of timeless elegance and exceptional experiences with gracious Malaysian hospitality, while establishing a distinguished social destination for dining, gatherings, festive celebrations and milestone occasions. "Waldorf Astoria has long represented the pinnacle of luxury, with a heritage of setting the standard for exceptional hospitality around the world," said Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton. "From Park Avenue in New York to The Bund in Shanghai, the brand is synonymous with legendary addresses that become places to see and be seen. Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur carries that legacy forward in the heart of the Golden Triangle, with an all-suite experience that brings a distinctive residential character to one of Asia's most dynamic cities." "Kuala Lumpur's cultural richness and energy make it a compelling setting for Waldorf Astoria's Malaysian debut," said Dino Michael, senior vice president and category head, Hilton Luxury Brands. "The hotel brings an extraordinary sense of space, artistry and occasion to the capital, with the personal service that turns a remarkable setting into a memorable stay. It reflects the ambition behind Waldorf Astoria's global expansion: hotels that contribute to the social life of their cities and become places guests form a lasting attachment to." A Living Legacy Reimagined for Modern Kuala Lumpur Each Waldorf Astoria has an iconic clock that celebrates the brand's heritage and serves as a natural meeting place for guests, inspiring the enduring invitation to "Meet Me at the Clock". In Kuala Lumpur, the sculptural timepiece takes inspiration from the geometry of the historic Islamic astrolabes from the collection of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. Crafted in bronze and illuminated glass with subtle Art Deco influences, it uses light to trace the passing hours, creating a distinctly local expression of one of Waldorf Astoria's most celebrated traditions. Positioned at the entrance of Peacock Alley, the clock is a focal point of Waldorf Astoria's signature social space, a place to see and be seen. In Kuala Lumpur, Peacock Alley pairs soaring proportions and stone-clad columns with Songket-inspired textiles to create an elegant social setting that evolves from a relaxed daytime lounge into a sophisticated evening destination. This dialogue between heritage and modernity continues throughout the hotel's art collection, curated in collaboration with the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia. From a monumental 19th-century painting of Qajar princes in the Grand Lobby to works by celebrated Malaysian artists across the property, the collection connects the hotel's global legacy with the artistic character and cultural creativity of Kuala Lumpur. Refined All-Suite Living Each of the 268 suites at Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur embodies a refined fusion of contemporary sophistication and Malaysian craftsmanship. Visionary design firm Deboss Collective incorporates natural stone, warm timber, woven textiles and handcrafted finishes to create a calm, tactile atmosphere. Bespoke joinery and details have been inspired by traditional Malay marquetry, offering a subtle nod to the country's design heritage. Ranging from expansive 80-square-metre one-bedroom suites to the 745-square-metre Waldorf Astoria Suite, the accommodations feature thoughtfully planned spaces for living and rest, complemented by floor-to-ceiling views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Designed with longer stays and multigenerational journeys in mind, the expansive all-suite concept offers a haven within the city, providing a sense of calm for guests to spend meaningful time together while retaining a sense of privacy and residential comfort. A Curated Destination for Dining, Wellness and Celebration Culinary Distinction: Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur presents a collection of distinctive dining concepts shaped by international culinary talent. Collaborations with acclaimed chefs Garima Arora and Jean-Georges Vongerichten anchor a diverse culinary offering, spanning from day-to-night dining, destination restaurants and intimate social spaces. Guests can begin the day with an extensive breakfast selection at The Istana, enjoy refined Indian cuisine shaped by Garima Arora's distinctive approach at Yaari, or experience Jean-Georges Vongerichten's signature market-to-table concepts at JG KL, abc kitchens KL, and The Bar by JG. Complementing these venues are refined lounges and social spaces designed for afternoon tea, cocktails and relaxed evening gatherings, with each setting presenting its own character, menu and sense of occasion. Restorative Wellness: Spanning 2,275 square metres across two floors, Waldorf Astoria Spa is envisioned as one of Malaysia's most extensive luxury wellness destinations. Guided by The Science of Recovery and The Art of Longevity, its holistic approach combines personalised La Prairie treatments with an evolving Masters in Residence programme, supporting both immediate restoration and long-term vitality. Through private consultations, workshops and immersive experiences with internationally recognized experts in osteopathy, fitness, nutrition, yoga, Pilates, Traditional Chinese Medicine and facial reflexology, guests and members will have exclusive access to specialist expertise throughout the year. This philosophy extends into every suite, where a yoga mat and Digital Detox Card encourage mindful movement and moments of disconnection in complete privacy. An in-suite wellness kit will include resistance bands, massage balls and a mini foam roller, with weights available for use. The Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur Ritual, exclusively curated for property guests by La Prairie, combines guided breathwork, intuitive massage and warmed gemstones to release tension, restore balance and promote deep relaxation while The Wellness Private Bar will offer face and eye masks, with a TheraFace LED mask available upon request. Grand Celebrations: From the privacy of an expansive suite to the grandeur of a ballroom, Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur allows every occasion to unfold seamlessly within one distinguished address. Versatile gathering spaces spanning 3,745 square metres, seamlessly accommodate occasions of every scale, from intimate personal celebrations to large-scale weddings, galas and corporate events. The 1,545-square-metre Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 2,500 guests for receptions, while the dedicated Executive Hub provides a refined setting for meetings and corporate gatherings. Whether hosting a private ceremony, an executive meeting or a milestone celebration, each experience is intuitively tailored by dedicated specialists, ensuring every detail is taken care of. Singapore's Best Workplaces show hiring caregivers does not cost business performance: Great Place To Work(R) insights report 2026.

Singapore's Best Workplaces show hiring caregivers does not cost business performance: Great Place To Work(R) insights report 2026. Published Oct 30, 2026, 12:52 PM SINGAPORE, Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Great Place To Work(R) Singapore held its annual awards gala yesterday evening, recognising 55 organisations across Micro, Small, Medium and Large categories, marking a record number of awardees to date for Best Workplaces in Singapore. The awards ceremony, held at Pan Pacific Singapore, was attended by about 400 leaders, executives, and employees from Great Place To Work Certified(TM) companies. The event was graced by Mr Foo Cexiang, Minister of State for Manpower and Energy, Trade and Industry. Micron Technology's team on stage at the Best Workplaces in Singapore 2026 receiving the #1 Best Workplace award in the Large Category The Best Workplaces in Singapore(TM) 2026, themed The New "Business As Usual", recognises companies that are setting new benchmarks for workplace culture, employee experience and trust in today's evolving work landscape. The list is based on confidential employee feedback gathered through the Great Place To Work(R) Trust Index(TM) Survey, which was sent to 94,373 employees across Singapore in 2026. Supporting caregivers pays off for Singapore's Best Workplaces Singapore has become a super-aged society with 21.4% of citizens aged 65 and above. At the same time, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced at the 2026 National Day Rally an additional 8 to 12 days of annual childcare leave for parents of children aged 12 and below. Together, these developments bring a growing workplace challenge into focus: if we support caregivers, who bears the cost? Great Place To Work(R)'s 2026 Singapore insights report, The Caregiver Dividend, examines how Singapore's Best Workplaces support caregivers without sacrificing performance. Caregiving is now a norm in the workforce, with 68% of employees surveyed responsible for the care or financial support of children, elders, or both. The findings suggest that supporting caregivers is not simply an employee benefit, it can also strengthen business outcomes. Across the six key outcomes measured by the Great Place To Work(R) Trust Index(TM) Survey - Agility, Customer Service, Extra Effort, Innovation Culture, Recruitment/Advocacy and Retention Intention - caregivers at Best Workplaces who feel well supported report stronger levels of extra effort, customer service and intention to stay. That support also acts as a talent signal. 84% of caregivers in Best Workplaces would strongly endorse their employer to family and friends, as compared to 46% in Typical Workplaces. The difference goes beyond offering more support. Best Workplaces build the trust, coordination and manager capability that make support credible, even when caring responsibilities put pressure on a team. In 693 comments from employees in Typical Workplaces, the most common concerns centered on manager empathy, working hours, flexible work and workload pressure. With eldercare emerging as a pressure point, workplaces will increasingly feel the strain as Singapore's population ages. Those caring for elders in Typical Workplaces report just 41% on their willingness to provide extra effort, the lowest of any group, against 79% in large Best Workplaces. Employers that provide equal support for eldercare and childcare will be better positioned to meet the evolving needs of Singapore's workforce, while building a culture where employees can perform at their best across different stages of life. Singapore-headquartered organisations secure top rankings in Singapore's Best Workplaces(TM) List 2026 Singapore-headquartered organisations feature strongly in the Medium category this year. JustCo rises to #1 from #4 in 2025, with Capella Hotels and Resorts (#4), STTGDC (#18) and Singapore Land Group (#19) also ranked. Hilton (#4) and Capella Hotels and Resorts (#4) were recognised as Legends for being on the list for 5 consecutive years. | Category | #1 | #2 | #3 | | Large (>1000 employees) | Micron Technology | DHL | Marriott International | | Medium (100-999 employees) | JustCo | Booking.com | AbbVie | | Small (30-99 employees) | TC Acoustic | Cloudera | ABP Securite | | Micro (10-29 employees) | Cryptoknight Academy | Lancia Consult | Exotic Office Solutions | Please refer to the annexe for the full list of Best Workplaces(TM) in Singapore 2026. Ms Evelyn Kwek, Managing Director, Great Place To Work(R) ASEAN and ANZ said, "Every organisation on this list earned its place by what its own people say, and that is a harder test than any policy audit. Best Workplaces stand apart in the everyday mechanics of management: who covers the work, how a manager checks in, and whether flexibility can be used without suspicion. Singapore's labor market will only tighten as the population ages. The employers who master those mechanics will keep the experienced people everyone else is trying to hire." DHL retains #2 Best Workplace in Singapore in the Large category. Mr Praveen Gregory, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding, Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia said, "This recognition is particularly meaningful given the uncertainty and challenges businesses have faced over the past year. Through it all, our people have remained resilient, focused and united, demonstrating the strength of our culture across DHL Group. Being ranked #2 on Singapore's Best Workplaces is a powerful reflection of the people-centric culture we have built together across DHL's business units, and the trust, support and sense of purpose our employees experience every day. We are proud that our people recognise DHL as a place where they feel valued, connected and empowered to do their best work." Hilton Honors amex card launches in Canada.

Hilton Honors amex card launches in Canada. Canadians now have access to a dedicated Hilton credit card through American Express. The new Hilton Honors American Express Card brings hotel rewards directly to the domestic market, with sign-up incentives that include up to 70,000 points and a free night reward. The product carries a $150 annual fee and grants complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status from the start. Launch details and availability. The card became available to Canadian residents as part of an expansion of the Hilton Honors program north of the border. American Express and Hilton designed the offering to let cardholders earn points on everyday spending while gaining immediate elite status benefits at Hilton properties. The rollout targets travelers who stay at Hilton hotels and want to consolidate rewards within one ecosystem rather than relying solely on general-purpose cards. Stakeholders include frequent Hilton guests in Canada, the hotel chain itself, and American Express, which handles issuance and rewards processing. The timing aligns with growing demand for travel rewards that tie directly to specific hotel brands. Would you like to save this? Travelbinger'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later. Core benefits and rewards structure. Cardholders receive complimentary Gold status in the Hilton Honors program upon approval. This level typically includes room upgrades when available, late checkout, and points earning bonuses during stays. The card earns up to 6 points per dollar spent on qualifying purchases, with the rate varying by category. New applicants can qualify for a welcome bonus of up to 70,000 points plus a free night reward after meeting spending requirements. These incentives provide immediate value for members planning Hilton stays in the coming year. The $150 annual fee remains fixed and covers the status and earning features. - Welcome bonus reaches up to 70,000 points - One free night reward included in the offer - Complimentary Gold status included - Earning rate up to 6 points per dollar - Annual fee set at $150 Practical implications for Canadian travelers. The card gives Canadians a straightforward way to accumulate Hilton-specific points without converting balances from other programs. Gold status delivers tangible perks on every stay, which can offset the annual fee for regular guests. Points can be redeemed for free nights, experiences, or other Hilton offerings across the brand's portfolio. For those who already hold general travel cards, this product adds a targeted option that aligns spending with Hilton stays. The launch reduces the previous gap where Canadian Hilton loyalists lacked a co-branded card of their own. The introduction of the Hilton Honors American Express Card marks a clear step in expanding branded rewards options in Canada. Cardholders gain direct access to status and points that match their travel patterns. Would you like to save this? Travelbinger'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later. Hilton rises after encouraging quarterly results, but Citi remains cautious.

Hilton rises after encouraging quarterly results, but Citi remains cautious. The hotel group posted strong growth in its Q3 2026 results, supported by growth in its US hotel business. Despite results exceeding expectations and an increase in its full-year guidance, Citi is maintaining its "neutral" rating on the stock, believing that its valuation already reflects much of the favorable outlook. The market is somewhat more optimistic: the stock is up 1.2% on Wall Street. Published on 10/29/2026 at 04:01 am EDT MarketScreener.com Hilton reported late yesterday an 11.6% increase in adjusted net income in the third quarter, to $556m, implying adjusted EPS of $2.45, up 16.1% and exceeding Citi's and the FactSet consensus estimates, both of which stood at $2.38. On a reported basis, net income jumped 27.3% to $536m, exceeding the S&P consensus by 4.2%. Reported EPS came to $2.37, 4% above the S&P consensus. Reported revenue, meanwhile, rose 6.6% to $3.325bn. On an adjusted basis, excluding in particular revenue related to reimbursements of hotel owners' costs, it increased 5.9% to $1.374bn. Adjusted EBITDA rose 8.4% to $1.058bn, slightly above Citi's expectations of $1.055bn and nearly in line with the consensus of $1.058bn. The corresponding margin improved by 1.8% to 77%. RevPAR rises sharply The performance was driven in particular by a 5.8% increase in revenue per available room, or RevPAR, on a comparable basis and at constant exchange rates, supported by a 1.4-point increase in occupancy and a 3.9% rise in average rates. RevPAR increased particularly strongly in the United States (+7%) and Europe (+6.5%). It declined, however, in the Middle East and Africa (-5.6%) and in Asia-Pacific (-0.5%). Citi nevertheless highlighted a significant improvement in the Middle East and Africa, following a 29.5% drop in the previous quarter, as well as a recovery in demand at economy brands. Hilton also opened 182 hotels representing 27,000 rooms, or 23,000 net additional rooms. Its system grew 6% year over year, while its development pipeline reached 543,100 rooms, up approximately 5%. "We delivered strong third-quarter results across both revenue and earnings, exceeding our expectations," said Christopher Nassetta, Hilton's chief executive officer, highlighting a record number of organic openings and favorable momentum expected through 2027. The group also repurchased $845m of its own shares during the quarter, bringing shareholder returns, including dividends, to $879m. Guidance raised Despite this performance, Citi is maintaining its "neutral" rating, with a price target of $335, implying 4.8% downside from the October 26 share price. The bank believes that the stock's approximately 23% gain since January and its valuation of nearly 21x projected EBITDA already reflect much of the good news. Hilton raised its forecast for comparable RevPAR growth at constant exchange rates in 2026, now expecting it to range from 4% to 4.5%, compared with 3% to 3.5% previously. The full-year adjusted EBITDA target was also raised to $4.060bn-$4.080bn, or an additional $10m at the midpoint, despite less favorable expectations in the Middle East and the timeshare business. The group now expects reported net income of $1.909bn-$1.923bn and adjusted EPS of $9.07-$9.13, above the consensus of $9.06 at the midpoint. Net hotel system growth is now expected to be around 6.5%, compared with a previous range of 6% to 7%, while the shareholder return target remains approximately $3.5bn. (C) MarketScreener.com - 2026
