Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required; Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience is required, including at least 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities
  • Own engineering design, manufacturing support, and state regulatory compliance for the company's kiosk products.
  • Lead product development from concept through production while ensuring design integrity, manufacturability, quality, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership, manage engineering systems and documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and field operations.
  • Lead engineering design and evaluation activities.
  • Represent the engineering function in cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Oversee Quality and Compliance engineering activities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a small team of engineers.
  • Manage third-party electrical, mechanical, and programming consultants as needed.
  • Use SolidWorks to create and revise designs supporting fabrication, machining, welding, electrical integration, and in-house assembly.
  • Oversee and coordinate third-party development of the units' control-system code.
  • Select appropriate materials and design for manufacturability.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Design fixtures and perform lifting and loading calculations to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Build and test prototypes to validate new designs or modifications.
  • Conduct and document field installation testing of prototypes, systems, or units.
  • Own new and existing products, systems, and designs.
  • Ensure product compliance with applicable state regulations.
  • Manage the Engineering Change Order process.
  • Maintain and control Bills of Material within engineering and enterprise resource planning systems for new and existing products.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and standard work documentation.
  • Use enterprise resource planning systems to integrate engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct supplier selection analysis with Procurement to ensure cost, quality, and performance standards are met.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services to resolve field performance issues.
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools including 8D, A3, and 5 Whys.
  • Participate in process improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance for the required schedule.
  • Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
