Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience managing complex technology projects, preferably within healthcare payer or healthcare technology environments.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Healthcare payer experience, including exposure to claims systems, customer service systems, system integrations, or highly transactional enterprise ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience leading onshore and offshore teams with demonstrated success managing virtual delivery models.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into clear explanations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including task management, dependency tracking, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced client environments.
  • The ability to maintain urgency while providing leadership and stability during complex initiatives.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TeamGantt, or Microsoft Project.
  • Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations as needed.
  • Flexibility to support project or client needs outside standard business hours when required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Lead healthcare payer initiatives involving claims systems, customer service platforms, system integrations, and enterprise application enhancements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Operations, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Engineering to ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as a primary client point of contact by providing project updates, executive presentations, risk mitigation plans, and delivery oversight.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly explanations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate teams during system outages, production incidents, and performance issues to ensure timely resolution and communication.
  • Lead system modernization and technical upgrade initiatives while minimizing disruption to business operations and end users.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Track project timelines, dependencies, risks, and action items while ensuring accountability across teams.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, workflows, status reports, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Partner with quality assurance and technical teams to support testing, validation, and system performance optimization efforts.
  • Lead distributed onshore and offshore teams across multiple locations and time zones.
Desired Qualifications
  • PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, or related certifications.
  • A hands-on technical background, including experience with solution development, documentation, quality assurance, system design, coding, or performance optimization.
  • Experience supporting or leading Salesforce-related projects, preferably within healthcare payer or healthcare technology environments.
  • Being based in Chicago, Illinois, and flexibility to work from the Chicago office as needed.
