Leupold's new MX-6HD 8-48x60 first focal plane spotting scope.

Leupold's new MX-6HD 8-48x60 first focal plane spotting scope. Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world's most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce the launch of its new MX-6HD family of spotting scopes. The MX-6HD first focal plane (FFP) spotting scope is built for individuals and teams who need more than just a clear image. Whether you're calling impacts, scanning terrain, or identifying targets at distance, it delivers the clarity, control, and confidence to make the right call the first time. It is available now in one of four reticle options: PR2-MIL, Tremor 4, TMR, and the new FOV reticle, which is a simple circle that indicates the edge of your field of view at high (48x) power. Two additional reticles, the H32 and MIL-GRID 6, are available for Military and Law Enforcement purchase. "When you're engaging a target as a team, the spotter and shooter need to be seeing the same thing and speaking the same language," said John Snodgrass, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "The MX-6HD helps make sure that's the case. It's optically fantastic, is loaded with professional-level features, and is available in some of the most popular reticle options. You won't find a better solution." The MX-6HD is built around Leupold's Professional-Grade Optical System, which provides bright, low-light resolution with superior glare reduction and the edge-to-edge clarity needed for positive, long-range target identification. It is designed to operate just like a riflescope and has a side-image focus plus an independent eyepiece diopter for optical reticle and image clarity. The folded light-path design and lightweight magnesium construction keep the profile compact without sacrificing magnification or optical performance, giving you a more packable, field-ready solution. The low 8x starting power supports night-vision use, while its top end 48x allows for long-distance observation. Removable Picatinny and M-LOK rails enable easy mounting of laser designators, thermal, night-vision systems, or other accessories. The unit offers quick tripod integration with dual Arca-Swiss mounting surfaces. It also includes flip-up lens covers, interchangeable eyecups, and a heavy-duty hard case. The MX-6HD is waterproof, fogproof, and guaranteed to perform for life. It is proudly designed, machined, and assembled in Leupold's Beaverton, Ore., factory. Leupold launches new VX-Freedom Straight-Wall riflescope.

Leupold launches new VX-Freedom Straight-Wall riflescope. Beaverton, Oregon- August 2026- Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world's most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce the launch of its new VX-Freedom Straight-Wall riflescope. Built specifically for rifles chambered for popular straight-wall cartridges, the VX-Freedom Straight-Wall gives hunters a fast, simple, and precise aiming solution in the moments that matter most. It ships with three pre-calibrated elevation dials, one for each of the three most common straight-wall hunting cartridges: .350 Legend, .400 Legend, and .450 Bushmaster. See more new optics and gun accessory news on the gun bulletin! "Many states that once limited gun hunters to using shotgun slugs for deer have now made it legal to hunt with a straight-wall rifle cartridge," said Vici Peters, Gold Ring Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "With that added capability comes the opportunity to take longer shots-which means compensating for bullet drop. With the VX-Freedom Straight-Wall, we take care of that for you. Just choose your cartridge, zero your rifle, and install the appropriate, included dial. It makes hitting a target at several hundred yards as easy as range, dial, and shoot." The VX-Freedom Straight-Wall has the pre-calibrated .350 Legend dial installed out of the box. The .400 Legend and .450 Bushmaster dials are included and can be swapped out using a simple Allen wrench. The pre-calibrated dials allow hunters to shoot with confidence by simply turning the dial to the correct distance and holding dead on for a more precise solution than traditional holdover reticles. Built around Leupold's Advanced Optical System, the VX-Freedom Straight-Wall delivers tried-and-true light transmission, best-in-class glare reduction, and the rugged reliability hunters have trusted for generations. Its design is lightweight, with a compact, proven construction that won't weigh down your rifle or compromise reliability in the field. The VX-Freedom Straight-Wall is waterproof, fogproof, shockproof, and guaranteed to perform for life. Like all Leupold riflescopes, it is proudly designed, machined, and assembled in the company's Beaverton, Ore., factory. Founded in Oregon more than a century ago, Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is a fifth-generation, family-owned company that designs, machines, and assembles its riflescopes, mounting systems, and performance eyewear in the USA.
