About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrated track record of personally sourcing and closing passive candidates for hard-to-fill executive or specialized roles, including 10–15 or more senior-level searches in the last 12 months.
  • Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy, ambiguity, and direct executive access as an individual contributor.
  • A genuine network and the instincts to know whom to contact, not just how to run a search.
  • Technical fluency with modern AI and automation tools, including demonstrated ability to use them to increase effectiveness and productivity while exercising judgment about where human review is required in candidate evaluation.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end search strategy and execution for executive, strategic, and hard-to-fill roles across portfolio brands and shared services, including sourcing approach, assessment criteria, and offer strategy in partnership with hiring executives.
  • Proactively source passive candidates through direct outreach, competitive talent mapping, referral networks, and platforms such as LinkedIn, beyond inbound applicant flow.
  • Partner directly with hiring executives to define hard-to-articulate role profiles and translate them into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Close searches where the ideal candidate profile is narrow, such as roles requiring deep applied AI or data science experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-value passive candidates over time, including when no role is open, to keep the pipeline warm.
  • Manage confidential searches with judgment and discretion, including roles tied to organizational restructuring or leadership transitions.
  • Provide market intelligence on talent availability and competitive hiring activity to inform how and where the company competes for talent.
Desired Qualifications
  • Search firm or agency recruiting background, including experience cold-approaching people who were not looking and engaging them in a conversation.
  • Experience recruiting technical, data science, or AI talent.
  • Retail, e-commerce, or multi-brand holding company experience.

About the company

CSC Generation acquires underperforming retail brands and grows them into profitable ventures by integrating them into its shared operating platform. It operates across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale, leveraging technology, skilled staff, efficient processes, and scalable operations to optimize product sourcing, marketing, fulfillment, and customer experience. Its portfolio includes brands like DirectBuy, One Kings Lane, Sur La Table, Touch of Modern, and Cherry Man Industries, collectively offering over 325,000 products and attracting about 10 million monthly page views. The company differentiates itself by targeting “unsexy” opportunities others overlook and by applying its centralized platform to turn around and scale these brands into sustainable revenue generators. Its goal is steady growth and profitability by transforming underperforming brands into thriving parts of its portfolio, serving a wide range of consumers and business clients.
