Marloo builds an AI-powered assistant for financial advisers to cut administrative work. It automates tasks such as creating meeting file notes, real-time transcription, and meeting summaries, and can record in-person or phone conversations via a mobile app. It integrates with meeting platforms and syncs with Outlook or Google Calendar to prep for meetings by summarizing prior conversations. Data is protected with encryption for data in transit and at rest, and stored in local data centers to keep client data within the region. The service is aimed at financial advice firms and individual advisers, with early-stage funding from investors like Blackbird Ventures. The goal is to free advisers from administrative and compliance chores so they can focus on client relationships and growing their practice.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • August 21, 2026 revenue growth hit 37% monthly with 900 paying firms.
  • April 2026 funding reached $13 million, financing US entry and product expansion.
  • Zero-retention agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic strengthen trust with compliance-sensitive advisers.

What critics are saying

  • OpenAI and Anthropic enterprise compliance tools can commoditize Marloo’s core notes and reporting.
  • Marloo’s US expansion starting 2026 exposes it to larger incumbents and heavier regulation.
  • If advisers adopt native CRM automation, Marloo’s standalone workflow layer becomes redundant.

What makes Marloo unique

  • Founded in 2024, Marloo targets financial-adviser compliance workflows, not generic note-taking.
  • By August 2026, Marloo served 900 paying firms across eight countries.
  • Blackbird backed Marloo twice, signaling conviction in founders Shakeel Lala and Hardy Michel.

AI startup Marloo hits 37% monthly growth helping financial advisers reclaim time for client advice

Marloo, an AI startup helping financial advisers manage client portfolios, is growing at 37% monthly revenue growth since its inception 15 months ago. The company has onboarded more than 900 paying advisory firms across eight countries and is expanding into the US. Founded by veterans of retail investment platforms Sharesies and Lightyear, Marloo raised $13 million across two funding rounds just six months apart — $3 million pre-seed and $10 million seed. The platform uses AI to help advisers quickly identify which clients are affected by market changes, such as interest rate moves, reducing manual portfolio analysis. The founders say AI enables advisers to spend less time on paperwork and more time providing personalised advice to clients navigating complex financial decisions around retirement, family planning, and home ownership.

Marloo raises $10M to transform adviser economics with AI platform

Marloo, an AI platform for financial advisers, has raised $10 million in seed funding led by Blackbird Ventures, with participation from Icehouse Ventures. The round brings total funding to $12.7 million in 12 months. Founded by Hardy Michel, Marloo has onboarded over 650 paying firms across six countries since launching a year ago, with revenue growing 40% monthly. The platform automates compliance, suitability reporting and client management workflows. Michel said Marloo spent six months embedded with adviser firms before development, aiming to create software advisers "genuinely love using" rather than compliance-driven tools. Around a third of staff are former financial advisers, embedding practitioner expertise into product development. The company has negotiated zero data retention agreements with OpenAI and Anthropic to address adviser concerns around compliance and data security.
