Responsibilities
  • AI Engineering Strategy & Architecture: Lead the ISC AI engineering function, including technical architecture, engineering standards, development practices, reusable patterns, and production support expectations.
  • Define solution approaches for GenAI applications, LLMs, RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, agent-based workflows, document intelligence, knowledge assistants, and process automation.
  • Ensure AI solutions align with enterprise architecture, Azure AI platform standards, cybersecurity requirements, responsible AI expectations, and ISC data governance requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Engineering Capability: Lead, coach, and develop a team of AI Engineers responsible for building and supporting production-grade AI solutions across global supply chain use cases.
  • Establish engineering practices for code quality, documentation, version control, testing, prompt management, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and support.
  • Build team capability in Python, APIs, Azure AI, LLM application development, RAG, vector databases, data integration, workflow automation, and enterprise software delivery.
  • Solution Development & Integration: Oversee the design and development of AI applications, including RAG-based assistants, agentic workflows, document processing, workflow automation, and AI-enabled business applications.
  • Guide model, framework, and tool selection based on accuracy, latency, cost, scalability, security, compliance, and maintainability.
  • Ensure AI solutions integrate with governed data sources, enterprise applications, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Graph API, Power Platform, workflow tools, and internal supply chain systems where appropriate.
  • Production Reliability, MLOps & LLMOps: Establish CI/CD, automated testing, release management, telemetry, monitoring, incident response, and rollback practices for AI solutions deployed in production.
  • Define evaluation methods for LLM outputs, retrieval quality, prompt performance, model behavior, data quality, user feedback, and operational reliability.
  • Monitor production AI solutions for performance, cost, usage, failure modes, access issues, security risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Delivery: Partner with AI Delivery to assess technical feasibility, estimate engineering effort, sequence development work, and shape solution scope for prioritized use cases.
  • Coordinate with IT, Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Analytics, and platform teams to resolve architecture, data access, integration, infrastructure, and compliance dependencies.
  • Provide technical guidance on what should be custom-built, reused, automated, or handled through existing enterprise platforms.
Desired Qualifications
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, ML engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or related technical roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, engineering programs, or complex technology delivery in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Strong technical background in Python, APIs, cloud-native development, data integration, automation, and production software engineering.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting AI, ML, GenAI, LLM, automation, or advanced analytics solutions in production environments.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, observability, versioning, release management, and operational support.
  • Ability to explain technical tradeoffs, risks, architecture decisions, and implementation options to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience building GenAI applications using RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt orchestration, agentic workflows, model evaluation, and retrieval quality testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, containerization, serverless architectures, APIs, and enterprise cloud deployment patterns.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Graph API, Power Platform, enterprise data platforms, workflow automation tools, and business applications.
  • Experience establishing reusable AI engineering frameworks, reference architectures, prompt/model evaluation methods, and production support models.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, planning, logistics, quality, operations, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI, cybersecurity, identity and access management, data privacy, auditability, model risk, and enterprise AI governance.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in cloud, AI/ML, software engineering, cybersecurity, data engineering, architecture, or related fields.

Rockwell Automation joins Anthropic's Project Glasswing to strengthen AI-enabled cyber defense for industrial infrastructure

Rockwell Automation has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing, a global initiative aimed at strengthening cyber resilience across critical infrastructure. The industrial automation company is using controlled access to Claude Mythos 5 to accelerate the discovery and remediation of vulnerabilities in software and connected systems used by manufacturers. Project Glasswing, launched by Anthropic in April 2026, began with roughly 50 partners and has expanded to approximately 150 additional organisations across more than 15 countries. Participants include organisations supporting critical infrastructure in power, water, healthcare, communications and hardware sectors. Tony Baker, Rockwell's chief product security officer, said the company is applying advanced AI capabilities defensively to identify and address vulnerabilities faster. Rockwell Automation, headquartered in Milwaukee, employs approximately 26,000 people serving customers in over 100 countries.

Rockwell Automation patches 12+ flaws including RSLinx DoS. Rockwell Automation released patches and workarounds for more than a dozen vulnerabilities, including four critical or high-severity denial-of-service flaws in RSLinx Classic. Rockwell Automation on Tuesday released patches and workarounds for more than a dozen security vulnerabilities across its industrial automation product line. One advisory addresses four critical or high-severity denial-of-service flaws in RSLinx Classic that can crash the RSLinx service and require a restart to recover. The company identified CVE-2026-9637 as a high-severity DoS issue affecting ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers. The advisory's header notes exploitation, while the body lists the issue as not exploited; the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) also reported it is not aware of any exploitation. Rockwell applied additional DoS fixes to the 1756-ENBT communications module, Logix controllers through a third-party component, and FactoryTalk Historian Machine Edition. The vendor also patched a high-severity remote code execution vulnerability in FactoryTalk Historian that could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code on affected systems. In FactoryTalk Activation Manager, Rockwell resolved a high-severity flaw that permitted an authenticated user to access files, processes and system resources with elevated privileges. The ControlFLASH firmware management utility contains a vulnerability that could allow arbitrary code execution at the logged-in user's permission level. The Redundancy Module Configuration Tool received a fix for a high-severity privilege escalation issue. Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities were fixed in ArmorStart Distributed Motor Controllers that could enable execution of malicious scripts, and a denial-of-service issue affecting the controller's web server was addressed. Several advisories include guidance on applying patches or implementing workarounds to reduce exposure while updates are deployed. Rockwell issued the notices to customers on Tuesday and provided links to product-specific updates and mitigation steps. CISA posted related advisories the same day to provide additional technical context for operators and security teams. Rockwell's advisories recommend prioritizing installation of patches for higher-severity issues and outline mitigations where immediate patching is not possible. The affected products span communications software, programmable logic controllers and management utilities commonly used in manufacturing and critical infrastructure environments.

The industrial giant has released advisories for its RSLinx Classic, ArmorStart, ControlFLASH, FactoryTalk, and other products. | September 2, 2026 (8:39 AM ET) Rockwell Automation on Tuesday informed customers that patches or workarounds are available for more than a dozen vulnerabilities discovered across its industrial automation products. Only one of the new advisories describes critical vulnerabilities. It covers four critical and high-severity denial-of-service (DoS) issues affecting the RSLinx Classic communications software. Exploitation can cause the RSLinx Classic service to crash, requiring a restart for recovery. Rockwell's advisory for CVE-2026-9637, a high-severity DoS flaw in ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers, flags the vulnerability as exploited. However, it's likely an error, as it's only listed as such in the document's header; elsewhere it's listed as not exploited. CISA's own advisory for CVE-2026-9637, published by the agency on Tuesday along with other Rockwell advisories, also says it's not aware of exploitation. The ControlFLASH firmware management utility is affected by a vulnerability that "could allow arbitrary code execution, resulting in an attacker being given the ability to run any commands or code of the attacker's choice on a target machine at the logged-in user's permission level."
