Sony reveals historic 4-Movie Spider-Man collection for Tom Holland's MCU hero. Three months after Spider-Man: Brand New Day's release, Sony has unveiled its first four-movie Spidey collection. Sony released its first-ever Spider-Man movie in 2002, the opening entry of Sam Raimi's Spidey trilogy. However, 2026 marks the first time the studio has put together a four-movie collection for the web-slinger. As the name implies, the format bundles four films into a single package, and Sony has given the treatment to a good number of its franchises. The Karate Kid, Hotel Transylvania, and Ghostbusters are all among the iconic Sony properties to receive it, and it's now Spidey's turn. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unveiled the four-film collection amid the October 6 Premium Video on Demand release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland's fourth MCU Spider-Man movie. The bundle packs all four of Holland's solo outings, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, into a single Blu-ray box set with digital copies. The four-disc set arrives Tuesday, December 15, the same day Brand New Day makes its physical media debut on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, after an extended theatrical window pushed the disc back about a month from its original mid-November slot. Preorders are live at Amazon, Walmart, and other retailers, with Walmart pricing it at $71.22. The cover image features Holland's wall-crawler in his Spidey suit, unmasked. Collectors can also spring for a Limited Collector's Edition 4K SteelBook, which packs in a magnetic lenticular cover, physical reproductions of Peter's handwritten letter to MJ and MJ's drawing, and an exclusive tie-in comic. The set follows Sony's earlier Spider-Man 3-Movie Collection from April 2022, which bundled the first three Holland films. The new package updates that one with the record-breaking fourth chapter. The Brand New Day disc comes loaded with bonus content. Featurettes include "Tom Holland: The Evolving Spider," "Brand New Direction" with director Destin Daniel Cretton, "Peter and The Punisher" with Jon Bernthal, and "Webs, Wires and Runaway Tanks," which spotlights the film's practical stunt work under coordinator Peng Zhang. Other extras dive into the redesigned Spider-Suit, hidden Easter eggs, and behind-the-scenes camera roll footage from the set, with the digital edition including 11 bonus features in total, including the "Outtakes: Goofs, Gaffes and Gags" reel. This four-film set should prove lucrative for Sony given how well Brand New Day has performed. The film delivered a staggering $360 million in its domestic opening weekend, the biggest in box office history, and has reportedly gone on to rake in $2.5 billion worldwide, ranking as the third highest-grossing film of all time behind only Avatar and Avengers: Endgame. Many comic book movie aficionados will want this historic Marvel quadrilogy on their shelves. Spider-Man joins a long line of Marvel movie collections. Sony's Spider-Man set joins a growing lineup of franchise-spanning Marvel collections. The Avengers: 4-Movie Collection bundles The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame on Blu-ray with digital copies, and a limited 4K SteelBook edition of that set landed as a Best Buy exclusive. Marvel Studios also released the Captain America: 4-Movie Collection in 2025 alongside Captain America: Brave New World's home debut. That set arrived on digital April 15, 2025, and on Blu-ray and DVD May 13, 2025, packing The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Brave New World into 526 minutes of star-spangled action. The Thor: 4-Movie Collection rounds out the group, collecting Chris Hemsworth's four solo films from Thor through Thor: Love and Thunder on Blu-ray and as a 4K digital bundle. Beyond the four-film sets, Marvel's smaller collections have kept collectors busy. In 2023, the studio released a three-movie set for James Gunn's acclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, collecting Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3. That same year, Marvel gave similar treatment to its Black Panther franchise with a two-movie collection. That set paired Black Panther with its sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which served as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 before the sequel's release. Spider-Man joining this stellar list of Marvel collections gives Sony one of the most enviable bundle offerings in comic book movie home entertainment. It gives fans the option to own their favorite Marvel films in a more convenient way, which is essential at a time when physical media has become more important than ever.

Rivian is going full 'Ghostbusters' for Halloween. Emmet White Thu, October 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM PDT Fall is rapidly descending upon much of the Northern Hemisphere, and Rivian is preparing to celebrate spooky season with a new Ghostbusters collaboration. Rivian has historically dressed its vehicles up for Halloween, and the California-based EV startup is calling in reinforcements this year. Rivian, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, is bringing the Ghostbusters universe to all its vehicles from October 9 through November 2, 2026. Thanks to an over-the-air update, Rivians will now feature a limited-time "Halloween Mode" with the sounds, lights, and Easter eggs from the Ghostbusters universe. Halloween Mode will transform your driver display by adding custom lights and sounds, custom lock sounds, a scavenger hunt feature, and a "'Mallow Mash" mode where the center screen pops Mini-Pufts marshmallow men against the clock while parked. Custom exterior LED sequences include "Ecto-1," "Proton Pack," "Slimer," "Ghost Trap," or "Peter Venkman," paired with accompanying soundscapes that can be motion-activated. Rivian is even including a Scavenger Hunt inside the infotainment that sends you hunting for hidden characters tucked inside familiar screens. Back seat passengers aren't left out of the fun, either; "Trick or Treat Mode" takes over front and rear infotainment screens with the Ghostbusters theme song and matching lights. To properly commemorate the Ghostbusters, Bill Murray teamed up with Rivian for a commercial spot. Working with director Gil Kenan, co-writer of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and director/co-writer of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Rivian's commercial features Murray arriving at the scene of a spooky house overrun by a ghost and neutralizing the threat with a Rivian R1-mounted weapon. Murray even slicks his hair back with the gunky remnants of the ghost. Intrepid fans will notice the Rivian R1S featured in the commercial is not a typical model. To round out the Ghostbusters homage, Rivian built a special-edition R1S, named - of course - the Ecto-R1. This Rivian features 22-inch aero wheels with a chrome-like finish, a signature red graphic, and the "No-Ghost" logo painted on the hood and front doors. A custom roof rack with sirens, spotlights, a radar dish, and side tanks mirror the original film car. (The custom roof rack frame and accessory housings were built in-house by Rivian's Special Projects team.) To access these features, your Rivian and mobile app must be updated to the latest software (for the R2, that's version 2026.36.40; for the R1, it's version 2026.36.0). A prompt will then appear on your driver display asking if you'd like to "hunt some ghosts," launching the Ghostbusters app. Rivian retail spaces in Laguna Beach, Austin, Venice, Miami, San Francisco, and New York City will also throw celebrations to commemorate the feature.

Crunchyroll Storyworks creates a new path from anime to live action. Sony Pictures' latest division is designed to connect Japanese creators, rights holders and global film and television production. Summary. Sony launched Crunchyroll Storyworks for original anime and live-action adaptations. Led by Tohru Iokibe, it prioritizes creator visions and high quality. Storyworks partners with production venture HAYATE to accelerate global releases. Sony Pictures Entertainment has launched Crunchyroll Storyworks, a new division designed to develop anime and live-action adaptations in closer collaboration with Japan's creative industry. Announced by Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO Ravi Ahuja during the inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum in New York, the unit will operate within Crunchyroll's content group and work in both directions: adapting stories from around the world into anime while developing Japanese anime properties for live-action film and television. Central to the initiative is an emphasis on working directly with Japanese creators and rights holders, with Sony positioning Storyworks as a creative bridge intended to preserve the identity and intent of original works as they move between mediums and audiences. The groundwork for this creative expansion was laid in March 2025 with the formation of HAYATE, a Tokyo-based production joint venture co-founded by Aniplex and Crunchyroll. Originally established to fuse Aniplex's industry-leading production expertise with Crunchyroll's massive global distribution network, HAYATE will now work in tandem with the newly minted Storyworks division. Crunchyroll Storyworks will serve as the developmental engine, identifying, planning, and accelerating projects before passing them over to HAYATE and its partner Japanese studios for physical production. At the time of writing, no specific titles under the Crunchyroll Storyworks banner have been announced yet.
