Requirements
  • A high school diploma.
  • Physical fitness and mechanical inclination, including prior use of hand tools such as an impact drill or driver.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work quickly with the hands while maintaining accuracy and high quality.
  • Own transportation because public transit is not available in the area.
  • A proven safe work record.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily execution of production activities in the assigned work center to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate Team Leads and Operators, fostering accountability, safety, and teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to daily build schedules and takt time, and escalate risks to production targets to the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and track performance against output, defects, rework, attendance, and downtime metrics, and lead Tier 2 daily management meetings.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure work-center readiness, including materials, tools, and documents.
  • Enforce safety protocols, 5S practices, standard work, and compliance with operational policies.
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling of team members in partnership with Learning and Development.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective-action implementation for issues affecting quality, delivery, or safety.
