About the job

Requirements
  • Have experience contributing throughout the product development process for web or software products.
  • Have experience in user experience design, product design, design systems, design technology, prototyping, or a related field.
  • Have experience working with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Work with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering to set the direction for design-system tools and practices that improve quality and adoption across Platform and the business units.
  • Create and maintain design-owned coded UI reference libraries based on design-system standards and source designs, including Figma where applicable. Use them to demonstrate component states, interactions, responsive behavior, accessibility expectations, and use of design tokens. Engineering owns the production of component libraries and their technical implementation.
  • Evaluate and create AI-assisted tools that help teams find, apply, and check design-system guidance. Define practical ways to assess whether the tools are accurate, useful, understandable, and aligned with approved standards.
  • Partner with front-end engineering teams to identify recurring differences between approved designs and delivered experiences. Create design-side review and validation methods that surface issues earlier, and use what teams learn during implementation to improve shared standards, reference components, and guidance.
  • Lead the adoption of AI tools across Design by evaluating emerging tools, setting responsible working practices, and providing playbooks, demonstrations, workshops, and peer learning that help designers improve quality and work more efficiently.
  • Mentor and connect product designers who use code to prototype AI experiences. Establish shared working practices, align their explorations with the design system, and turn useful lessons into reusable guidance for the broader design organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering on the contribution process that enables experts across Design, Engineering, Product, Accessibility, Platform, and the business units to propose, review, and maintain design-system guidance and reference materials.
  • Partner with Design Enablement and Engineering Operations to help front-end UI engineers use the design system effectively. Contribute design-system onboarding, training, implementation guidance, reference examples, and validation practices, while Engineering Operations leads engineering processes and adoption within the front-end community.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have 12 or more years of experience in product design, design systems, design technology, prototyping, or a related discipline within complex, enterprise-scale products.
  • Have a portfolio or body of work demonstrating strong systems thinking, interaction and visual craft, and the ability to turn design standards into reusable guidance, reference components, and tools.
  • Have hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks such as Lit and Web Components, with the ability to build coded prototypes and design-owned reference components that clearly demonstrate intended appearance and behavior.
  • Have deep knowledge of design systems, including components, patterns, design tokens, themes, accessibility, responsive behavior, localization, governance, and contribution processes.
  • Have experience using AI to improve design work, such as helping teams find guidance, create and review design-system content, check quality, or automate repeatable tasks, and experience defining appropriate human review and responsible-use practices.
  • Have experience using or extending design tools such as Figma, documentation platforms, component catalogs, analytics, plugins, or automated design-quality and accessibility checks.
  • Have demonstrated success setting direction and influencing senior partners across Design, Product, Engineering, Accessibility, and AI in a complex, distributed organization.
  • Have communication, facilitation, storytelling, critique, and mentoring skills, with a record of helping a broad design organization adopt AI tools, shared standards, and new ways of working.

ServiceNow's $7.75B Armis bet faces first test as it aims to be No. 1 in security

ServiceNow spent about $7.75 billion in cash on Armis as it aims to lead enterprise security. Chief executive officer Bill McDermott said on September 9 that the company is "now the eighth largest with an ambition to be #1." The company reports third-quarter results after the close on October 28, its first earnings since that claim. Investors will look for a disclosed security growth rate. BNP Paribas estimates security and risk could reach about $1.5 billion in annual contract value, growing 30% to 40%. ServiceNow has not confirmed this. Acquisitions are weighing on margins. Third-quarter guidance is an 8% GAAP operating margin against 31% non-GAAP. Revenue beat estimates in each of the last five quarters, yet the stock fell after the last three reports. Consensus expects revenue of about $4.09 billion, up about 20%.

ServiceNow CFO: Overwork doesn't make a better leader, recovery drives performance

ServiceNow president and chief financial officer Gina Mastantuono says overwork does not make a better leader. Speaking at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, she said recovery is a prerequisite for high performance, not a distraction from it. She criticised the idea that 14-hour days and four hours of sleep show commitment. "That is such a terrible example for the people around us," she said. Prioritising recovery helped her listen more thoughtfully, stay composed under pressure, and improve her work-life balance. Fellow panellist Alicia Hatch of Deloitte said 94% of female C-suite executives played sports growing up. Deloitte projects global women's sports revenue will reach at least $3 billion in 2026, a 340% rise over four years.

Over 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40%+: four bargain tech picks, from Netflix to Oracle

More than 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40% or more from their highs, even with the index near record levels, as of October 8, 2026. The Motley Fool sees that as a chance to hunt for bargains in tech. It names four picks. Netflix trades at about 18.5 times 2027 analyst earnings estimates, and advertising should drive its growth. Oracle has a $664 billion backlog in cloud infrastructure, but carries heavy debt and burns cash. ServiceNow, hit by the 2026 software sell-off, trades at 7.5 times forward sales as it pushes into agentic AI. AppLovin trades at 13 times 2027 earnings estimates. Its revenue rose 53% last quarter to $1.9 billion.
