Your Career

Palo Alto Network's SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished engineer with experience in developing cloud distributed applications to fill a technical leadership position in the Prisma Access (SASE) team. You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in the SASE area. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers to design and develop systems  for solving interesting problems in the Prisma Access (SASE) area.

Your Impact

• Work in a small and fast paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver most impactful results.
• Contribute in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test
• Proactively identify product features for improvement and innovation
• Innovate new product features based on customer feedback
• Developing distributed applications that use messaging infrastructures and experience working with them is a plus.

Qualifications

Your Experience:

• 8+ years of experience, with a BS or MS degree, developing large scale distributed applications using service-oriented architectures.
• Strong experience in developing Python and Java based micro services using REST APIs.
• Experience developing applications with a DB (RDS, MongoDB) and abstraction layers.
• Experience developing appropriate caching layers for scale and performance of database systems.
• Experience developing distributed applications that use messaging infrastructures like Kafka.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, like AWS/GCP/OCI, is a plus.
• Experience with building and running containerized applications in distributed environments like Kubernetes is a plus.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
