About the job

Requirements
  • A technical degree in engineering, energy systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 3 years of applicable working knowledge of renewable energy asset concepts, including performance ratio, capacity factor, availability, curtailment, and basic electrical fundamentals such as AC/DC, voltage types, and reactive power.
  • Comfort interpreting time-series sensor data and identifying anomalies, gaps, or calculation errors, beyond verifying that data arrived.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with confidence leading technical conversations directly with customers.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to learn new technical domains quickly.
  • Direct experience with asset performance management or other energy monitoring and controls platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Own technical delivery of asset onboarding, partnering with the assigned Professional Services Project Manager to align scope, timeline, and customer expectations while driving day-to-day execution and quality.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers during onboarding, translating site-specific requirements and design—including hierarchy, tagging, and data connectivity—into the Unity APM SaaS platform.
  • Establish and troubleshoot data connectivity between renewable sites and the platform, including on-premises historian/SCADA integrations, cloud-to-cloud APIs, and file-based ingestion.
  • Configure asset hierarchy, KPI calculations, and alarm logic according to implementation runbooks and asset-class best practices, including PV performance ratio, wind capacity factor and availability, and BESS state of charge and round-trip efficiency.
  • Validate signal quality and calculation accuracy through structured site testing, identifying and triaging issues such as missing data, out-of-range values, misconfigured tags, and incorrect KPI outputs.
  • Lead customers through user acceptance testing, explain performance results, and resolve discrepancies between expected and observed values.
  • Contribute to internal process, tooling, and data quality improvements across the implementation lifecycle.
Desired Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including secure site connectivity such as IPSEC tunnels.
  • Experience with Linux, Windows networking, and SQL databases.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash, and structured file formats including JSON, XML, Excel, and CSV.
  • Familiarity with on-premises historian and datalogger integrations, such as N3uron and Campbell Scientific Loggernet, and industrial protocols including OPC, Modbus, and IEC 104.
  • Experience with cloud-to-cloud data connections and REST API-based integrations.
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and network architecture diagrams.
  • Exposure to solar/wind operations and maintenance workflows or revenue-grade metering concepts.
