Requirements

A relevant construction degree qualification or similar is required.
At least 7 years of CSA construction site experience is required.
A strong background in managing and successfully completing CSA work packages is required.
The candidate must be able to maintain an overview of the entire project while managing its technical aspects.
Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing, including four- and 12-week look-ahead forecasts, is required.
Experience effectively managing internal construction teams is required.

Responsibilities

Manage the coordination of the Civil, Structural, and Architectural work packages.
Manage and support the CSA team, including supervisors, engineers, and package managers, to deliver the CSA scope on a fast-track, technical project.
Manage site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Safety Team.
Drive a strong culture of Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental matters within the team.
Plan and monitor procurement, design, engineering, and installation for all CSA works.
Develop a project delivery strategy for the CSA work and support the commercial team in creating Scope of Work documents and subcontract packages for enquiries and appointments.
Review client design, identify discrepancies or deviations from local and international standards, lead their resolution, and protect the company’s commercial and contractual position.
Develop and manage a detailed site plan for Quality Assurance and Quality Control with the QA/QC team to ensure project compliance.
Manage day-to-day site operations, including onsite contractor management, particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance/Control.
Manage the project schedule with the Project Planning team, Project Managers, and subcontractors.
Liaise with the design team and project design manager to prioritize and issue construction information as needed and align it with the construction schedule.
Manage subcontractor activities, including tracking schedule progress and appropriate resource levels.
Chair and host weekly progress meetings with each CSA supply chain member.
Maintain subcontractor documentation so it is current and filed for future reference.
Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, design and engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
Manage close-out of project items, including the Punch List, Safety File, QA File, and Project Plan.
Issue daily and weekly reports to project management team members.
Attend and support commercial meetings to ensure variations are considered and enable the commercial team to issue and manage client change.
Review drawings and setting-out information.
Ensure builders’ works drawings related to MEP services are considered, coordinated, and incorporated where required.

We have an opportunity for two CSA Construction Managers on a major data centre project in Sweden. These are key roles leading a team whose focus is to ensure excellence in delivery in a dynamic project environment.

You will be an experienced construction leader with a demonstrated history for developing and leading construction teams to ensure our data centre construction projects meet specified standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage of Project Schedule in conjunction with our Project Planning team, Project Managers, and Sub-Contractors.

• Liaise with design team and project design manager to ensure necessary information (as required by construction team) is prioritised (where necessary) is issued and aligns with our construction schedule.

• Manage sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and appropriate resource levels.

• Manage and ensure all sub-contractor documentation is well maintained, current, and filed accordingly for future reference.

• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Design and Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.

• Manage close-out of all project items including, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, and Project Plan.

• Ability to think methodically whilst possessing strong problem-solving skills to resolve design and site challenges.
