Global industrial giant Xylem chooses Swedish AI company Gimic.

Global industrial giant Xylem chooses Swedish AI company Gimic. Växjö-based AI company Gimic has secured Xylem as a new customer. The global water technology company, with more than 23,000 employees and operations in approximately 150 countries, has chosen Gimic's AI-based technology for automated quality control at its production facility in Emmaboda. Gimic develops AI-based solutions that enable manufacturing companies to automate quality inspections that have traditionally been performed manually. Xylem has now chosen to use Gimic's technology for quality control of manufactured shafts for submersible pumps. Using cameras, image analysis and AI models, cracks, scratches, pressure marks and other defects can be automatically identified directly in the production line. This reduces the need for manual inspections and enables quality deviations to be detected earlier in the production process. "The fact that a global industrial company like Xylem has chosen Gimic is strong validation that our technology creates tangible value in industrial production. Xylem has high standards for both quality and efficiency, and we look forward to working together to automate parts of their quality control, reduce costs and further strengthen the quality of their production," says Therese Lundstedt, CEO of Gimic. Xylem is a global leader in water technology, developing products, systems and digital solutions to transport, treat, measure, analyse and reuse water. The company provides solutions across the entire water cycle and serves, among others, municipal water and wastewater operations, industry, energy and commercial buildings. Xylem has more than 23,000 employees and operations in approximately 150 countries. About Gimic Gimic develops AI-based systems for automated quality control and process monitoring in the manufacturing industry. Through proprietary AI models and software, the company can replace manual inspections with automated image analysis directly in production. This contributes to higher and more consistent quality, reduced waste and lower production costs. The technology is currently used by several leading industrial companies and is an enabler of increased automation and the fully automated factories of the future.
