Data & Analytics

About the job

Requirements
  • At least eight years of experience using data to inform decisions, including three or more years leading analytics teams.
  • Evidence that analysis changed executive decisions and delivered measurable revenue or cost results.
  • Confidence working with executives and settling competing priorities without escalating them.
  • Ability to turn loosely defined problems into clear questions and answers.
  • Ability to explain complex analysis simply to people without a technical background.
  • Ability to express advice and opinions beyond data analysis to drive decisions forward.
  • A record of coaching people, giving candid feedback, and hiring well.
  • Sound judgement on data governance, privacy, and risk; experience in a regulated sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • Practical experience using artificial intelligence in analytics, with judgement about its benefits, limitations, and governance.
  • Enough skill in SQL and Tableau or similar tools to guide and review the team's work.
Responsibilities
  • Set Mable's analytics strategy and roadmap in line with company priorities.
  • Work with the executive team and senior leaders to answer challenging business questions with data.
  • Represent Data on the Mable executive team, providing insights and advice and sharing context with the team.
  • Bring stakeholders insights proactively so analytics shapes decisions rather than reporting on them afterward.
  • Lead analytics teams that support every part of Mable.
  • Work with product leaders to integrate analytics into how every squad plans and builds.
  • Find and lead work that raises revenue or cuts costs, and measure the result.
  • Lead delivery of dashboards, models, and tools used across the business.
  • Set priorities across several areas, resolve competing requests, warn stakeholders early about delays, and address slipping work.
  • Research and drive best practices across the data platform.
  • Lead the team's use of artificial intelligence to analyse data faster, automate reporting, and broaden access to insights within Attain's AI governance framework.
  • Coach the team through weekly one-to-ones, prompt feedback, and conversations about performance and development.
  • Share knowledge and mentor people across the wider data function.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in health, care, marketplaces, or fast-growing technology firms is useful but not essential.

About the company

Mable is an Australian online two-sided marketplace that directly connects people needing aged care or disability support with independent support workers in their local community. Consumers choose their own workers and negotiate terms, while Mable collects fees on transactions: 7.95% added to the client’s payment and 10% deducted from the worker’s invoiced amount, bypassing traditional agency overhead. This model enables potentially higher pay for workers and lower costs for clients. The platform serves older Australians, NDIS participants, and private clients, and also offers Business Solutions by Mable to simplify care coordination for other organizations. By facilitating a community-driven, consumer-directed care marketplace, Mable aims to expand access to personalized, flexible home care in Australia.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Support at Home launched in 2026, expanding aged-care demand through Mable’s platform.
  • Mable’s 2026 product launches shorten booking friction and improve conversion for clients.
  • Business Solutions by Mable opens a B2B channel with coordinators and providers.

What critics are saying

  • Mable must secure NDIS digital-platform registration by 1 October 2026 or lose growth.
  • By 31 December 2026, every NDIS-funded worker needs screening checks, tightening supply.
  • If regulators reclassify independent workers as employees, Mable’s marketplace economics break.

What makes Mable unique

  • Mable owns Australia’s leading direct-to-worker marketplace for aged care and disability support.
  • Its 2026 NDIS digital-platform registration pathway entrenches compliance as a product advantage.
  • Instant Booking and the new Find Support app improve matching speed and user control.
